Did anyone else only play without the map marker showing you exactly where you are? That's the way I played through the whole game and I think it added a lot to the experience having to navigate using a compass and landmarks.
Any chance there will be DLC or future games like this? Or are indie games normally a "one and done" type thing?
I tried doing that, but I'm absolutely horrible with directions. I'll probably do that on a second playthrough now that I know my way around a little better. I also missed a few things the first time around and forgot about the camera. I think I only took about 10 photos.Did anyone else only play without the map marker showing you exactly where you are? Keep potential spoilers to the spoiler thread.Yeah, I'd be surprised if they did any type of DLC. I felt like there was plenty of closure at the end, regardless of how it made you feel. It was made clear that both D and Henry have bigger issues in life than what the two of them went through that one summer.
Please stop feeding the troll. As I stated, Valve blacklists abusers for future refunds.
Also, this keeps happening at random camera angles.

That looks like a dying graphics card.
"Don't hate the player, hate the game" is a shitty argument when we're talking about people's livelihoods.
Nope, not having problems with any other games. This is running like shit, freezing every 10 minutes to where I need to restart the game, and then this graphical nonsense keeps happening. I can't be the only one dealing with this. It's not like I'm trying to run it on a toaster.

Seriously, what the fuck is this? I'm not sure what's more off-putting: the inconsistent framerate, having to alt+f4 to restart the game every 10 minutes, or these glitches. Can't even get a good feel for the game at this rate.
Really? What constitutes an abuser in their eyes?
While I definitely don't think what Dmented did was right, I think refunding this one time shouldn't block him from seeking a refund in the future for a legit reason - say, a game simply doesn't work on his computer.
Does this game run like absolute dogshit for anyone else? I got in on minimum setting and it's still really hitchy on my laptop. Jumping from like 15 to 30 to 20 FPS just based on where I'm looking. I can't get through the first conversation with Delilah without the game freezing and crashing. I don't exactly have a high end machine, but I put well over 200 hours in Witcher 3 and 60 or so in MGSV with smooth performance. I should be able to play a damn walking simulator.
Whoa, where did this come from?
Just earlier today I was thinking about finding a game like this.
Is it...scary?
While this is true, it is still pretty reprehensible that he thought that doing this was OK. He felt good enough about what he did that he wasn't ashamed to post about it.
What card is it? I've seen this happen before, and it doesn't happen consistently in every game. It depends on how the game stresses the GPU.
But those vertices are not normal. Try other Unity games if you have them. Update your drivers, reinstall them if you have to. You will be the only one dealing with it if it is a hardware issue.
The game may be using your integrated graphics card if you're on a laptop. Try adding a profile for firewatch.exe in your gpu control panel and make sure it is set to use the dedicated gpu.
I'm on a Geforce 840M. 8GB Ram. i5 processor. Just got this laptop like 8 months ago, and it runs most games pretty well. Never encountered something that was straight up unplayable.
So I haven't started the game yet - should I just return it? lol

Hello Andre,
Thank you for writing!
We will be coming to the Brazilian PSN store soon! We got delayed due to some government ratings paperwork.
Sorry for the disappointment, we are bummed about that as well.
Best,
Jane

Went to bed last night before posting but I have to say, that was one of the best intros I've experienced in a game. Felt so genuine, real, disheartening...
I played for three hours last night and only ran into one issue. I was reading a note and when I closed it, the text overlayed over the entire game. I was able to use my mouse to save and then reload which fixed it.

personally i wish i could return it.
I have no doubts I'll like it, I'm just worried with all these problems people are having.

FWIW, I've played 2 hours and have had zero issues. I'm on a brand new machine doe.

Just wanted to add that i too believe dmented is a bitch. Carry on.
You have less than 3 hours of gameplay left, enjoy
yes, i'm bitter
The length wasn't a mystery before release.
Any difference in price between PC and PS4 with PS+ discount (if any)?
And native 21:9 support for PC version? Leaning towards PS4 though as it is hooked up to a better sound system.
