I am still going with 92 meta. 92 because a few reviews won't allow it to reach 95 and up. Either way, it'll easily be one of the best games of the generation.

Yeah, I probably went too far with Hitchcock - but I do think Druckmann (+ Straley and ND as a whole) will be historical landmark names. Along with the Ken Levine's and Fumito Ueda's and the Kojima's.

MGSV also got 93, I forgot which versions though. But according to GAF, the game sucks because it failed to deliver on the impossible expectations and some other hyperbolic bullshit.

Those GAFfers just have different expectations for a game. Because MGSV has fantastic gameplay and easily some of the best in the series (IMO, only MGS3 gives it competition). And gameplay > story any day of the week. What I learned from MGSV post release is that most of those folks would sacrifice quite a bit in the gameplay department to go back to a cutscene heavy, plot driven game (nonsensical plot too).
But I played MGS4. And I ain't ever touching an awful mess of a game like that again. I'll take great gameplay anyday.

Going with 92 on Metacritic.
Well, I agree that the story felt incomplete and pacing was off. But I still deeply enjoyed the story and it is personally my GOTY 2015. And yes, I finally came to that conclusion after playing Bloodborne and The Witcher 3. Anyway, let's not dwell on this. I just wanted to rant about GAF's hyperbole for a while.
I'm going to go with 93 on Metacritic. Would be a pretty high score for this gen.
Yep, with gameplay being solid in most franchises this gen, great gameplay is the most important factor to judge how good a game is for me this gen. And gameplay is one of the areas MGSV blows most other TPS away. Also, I really love The Witcher 3, but out of the three best games of last year, I would rank it the lowest because gameplay is rather average.
He said review codes were going out. I know a reviewer for this game and he'll get his from sony no earlier than in about a week from now.
Also, it seems that the May the 4th date might be jeuxvideomagazine exclusivity from what i've been told. In France at least.

I'm just as worried about the people who have little interest in the game coming in trying to stir shit up. Have seen so many hoping Uncharted 4 gets less than expected reviews, just to see the reactions. I find that just as pathetic as the people who do end up making stupid comments in review threads.

I agree completely. Luckily for me, I'm not going to be participating in the review thread too much. Just gonna be there to pass the time until the game releases. It's just another place for me to make GIFs from and drop them in the thread to kill some bandwidth.
The game sucked in my opinion because the story was complete ass and the gameplay got boring after a while. The open worlds being barren wastelands and the character being lame shades of their former selves didn't help.
It also had the worst soundtrack of all the Solid games. Nothing to do with "impossible expectations". I expected to be entertained, and the game failed to do that.

It's disappointing because it has great core gameplay but doesn't do much with it. Story being ass is just a bonus.
