Make sure to vet your artist though, lots of them can't do the line art for shit and it'll end up looking like lots of little lines instead of big flowing unbroken lines.

In his defense, the swastika has been warped beyond repair, and beyond anyone outside of the original countries/cultures that uses it, those that display it for their "original intent" are just trying to be edgelords.
yeah thats probably closer to what i'd do. not a big fan of full straight line geometric but the mix is good. and again i'd do way better than that. would most likely design my own based on a handful of thigns rather than leaving it up to the artist
also part of the reason i'd want some of those styles (besides cultural) is because the lack of symmetry really bothers me with most tattoos how they're just floating on some random body part. really sticks out and bugs me

Asymmetry can be beautiful. I doubt the problem you're experiencing in some peoples' tattoos is specifically with symmetry, but just bad composition.
I have a furious hard on for asymmetry and will deliberately design asymmetrical elements in things (like costumes or characters or whatever) almost every time
I would have many tattoos if it wasn't for laziness/indecision. I like the idea of it and I don't consider it permanent because we're all rotting away and dying, but I just lack motivation I guess

well yes. symmetry is just the easy fix for that.
its very rare that i see a tattoo with composition i like. i generally try to avoid criticizing that and just comment on the design since otherwise i'd more than likely be negative though i also dislike most designs so...
thats not the type of thing i was complaining about fyi. i'd definitely only get it on one side. or if i did i'd do one side mroe detailed and the toher one more plain
