I'd take out the square loses part. What do they lose lol

Square fails to intimidate Atlus with FFXV, as seen by Atlus being bold enough over in Japan with that release date. And Atlus now feels like a badass

And I like square, I'm actually playing through KH2.5 right now, I'm just messing around and needed some words to go there in the gif :P

I'm excited but still disappointed. I realize it won't top last years conference but we should still see some good stuff.

None of this stupid Persona 5 vs. Final Fantasy XV war bullshit. The fact that we're getting two very high profile, big budget console JRPGs in the same year should be glorified, not turned into some dumb "one or the other" nonsense. Hopefully they're both showcased at the conference.

Indeed! People who are not happy to be able to play both (and so close to each other) turning it into a stupid war/competition between the two titles that is just in their minds are not true JRPGs fans.

Here is how e3 will end.

Pretty good lol

Ooo but it is Ray..its you vs me.

Daishinkan or maybe Red Hawk with my Avatar.

I win.

I will probably get crucified for this, but I would be more excited for Persona 5 if it wasn't turn-based. I'm more excited about NieR: Automata than P5 or FFXV.

Not a fan of turn based JRPGS? So you must be super excited for Tales of Besty?

I appreciate turn based and action based JRPGS. There's room for both BUT... I will say that turn based gameplay can be super rewarding to me. Freaking love Fire Emblem, FF X, FF 7, Persona, Dragon Quest, etc.

But! Kingdom Hearts is action based and I love that too.

So what time would it be showing off you are in Sweden? I'm not very good with am and pm and all that. Is it June 14, 03.00 as always?

Don't hang your E3 hopes on Rockstar. They're bigger than that event and simply don't need it. That doesn't mean that they won't announce it there, but there really isn't much benefit for them doing that.
Yeah... I know. But with the PS4 & X1 version of GTAV that was announced at E3, the rumours of RD3 being at E3 and Take Two saying they'll be there in a big way, I feel like its way more plausible that they'll be announcing it at E3 this year than it would have been before. Still a long shot, and this might sound exaggerated but my enjoyment of E3 this year really depends on it being shown. I'd be sorta content with Sucker Punch and a Spidey game, but it just wouldn't be the same.

Hahahaha in a twisted way... now I feel like convincing you to give Rise of the Tomb Raider a chance on PS4.

:P

Playing Uncharted 4 really does make me want Rise of the Tomb Raider all the more on PS4 though.

I don't know if I can play ROTR after U4, especially trying the demo on the Bone and it had worse aiming than U3 prepatch. I mean, I can buy it for $9 on PC but I don't have the desire.

Excited for E3 though, easily the best time of the year all things considered. The awkward thing is that we already had a demo of Horizon and TLG, they are both still scheduled for this year but its not a great showing to dedicate another demo for them. Even if we don't know too much about them. I'd prefer to leave the rest to the player to discover on release.

But there are still lots of potential game reveals which is super exciting considering how many big games are still scheduled this year. Sony Bend, GoW4, and new IPs all over my tits.

GoW4 is the only thing that can potentially top U4 in terms of visuals. Man last gen I placed GG and SSM above ND but ND really stepped up, holy shit. Who's gonna step up and take the crown.

I've never played a Tales game before. I bought one a while back based on someone's recommendation,, but never got around to playing it. I think it has story where you can choose play as a nerdy guy or some superhero girl if that narrows it down. Maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about?!

I think they should show something amazing with Horizon. It didn't hurt Uncharted 4 to have two lengthy demos before release. With Horizon being a 40 hour plus RPG(my hope) they should be able to show something new and impressive without spoiling the game

Finally, Knack 2!
You're probably joking, but I'll be really happy if this got announced. I've probably said this around a dozen times, but me and a friend really enjoyed our co-op Hard playthrough of the game.
I'm probably in the minority, but I really want to see Destiny 2.
Not happening right now, fall expansion will be showcased. Destiny 2 next year. I just hope they fixed/reworked their development tools for Destiny 2 (so they can release the game with a decent amount of content to begin with, and develop content at a good pace after release). Despite being disappointed in vanilla destiny, I would legit be excited for a current-gen only Destiny where Bungie designs the game based off what they have learned so far with Destiny. As far as impressions go, it seems like Bungie improved greatly with The Taken King already, so a brand new entry taking all that into account + not being held back by last gen consoles could be truly terrific.

I love Uncharted 4 so far. I really freaking do. I give it alotta praise. But playing Uncharted 4 makes me desire for Rise of the Tomb Raider even more for its PS4 release because Uncharted 4 has to be the biggest "you're experiencing what we want you to experience" game I ever played. I've never felt this way in any previous Uncharted game.
I was playing Witcher 3 earlier today and it felt so refreshing.
That's why one of things I really like about Uncharted 4 is the chance when the gamer can say what they want in a scene.

Well, that story mode is gonna be fun though...
I probably would've shared this view if capcom hadn't decided to release the game with the character story prologues in THAT state and take so much pride in survival mode over and over again. They say they've learned from their mistakes and the bad launch, but I'm honestly doubtful. They'll have to earn back my respect before I start to believe their future content released for the game will be any good (aside from characters, which are terrific).

I don't really understand why playing Uncharted 4 makes you want to play RotTR when the former is generally regarded to be the superior game.

Isn't the Shrine a nicer venue though?

Absolutely, by all accounts.

The last place was a big sports arena in South L.A., and it wasn't in the nicest area. But it seated a lot of people, and I remember there being a ton in attendance. The Shrine doesn't seem to seat half as many.

There was a closed section for the camera, and it wasn't small, but still.

To put it simply, Uncharted is the better all around game BUT Tomb Raider is so much more fun to play, in my opinion. When Uncharted flips on spectacle mode is when it starts getting more fun to me.

Well that lag apparently wasn't present on either the PC or 360 versions. So since Crystal Dynamics only worked on the XBOne version which is the one with the bad lag, hopefully the PS4 version will be fine.

Well, to each his own, but I don't know how anyone thinks this when it comes to Uncharted 4. The gunplay is massively improved over previous games and the controls are one of the best in a TPS.

Agreed with you on that. Game controls are super good in UC4.

I think the discussion between UC4 and ROTTR should be save for another thread.

!!! Hhaha sorry, sorry. I mentioned earlier that I wanted to hear ROTTR's release date for PS4 at Sony's Conference. Then people told me there was no way of that happening. Then I realized that they were right. Lol my bad.

GT Sport might even skip E3 if the amount of news on May 19th is substantial, basically Polyphony plays its own game LOL.

No matter how substantial the show in - shit - two days ! in London will be, I doubt that we won't see anything from Sony's still most important IP on the show floor at E3.

I wonder how they deal with ingame sequences once they announce PS4 Neo. Will there be a small "shows PS4 Neo footage" in a corner? Will they show the same sequence on both Vanilla and PS4 Neo to illustrate the improvements? Thing is, from now on we just have to asume that everything Sony shows us from now on will be PS4 Neo footage. Like MS uses to show PC stuff to illustrate how the XBOX One edition looks like.

Here's hoping they let us wake up from those dreams to the reality they now exist. Last year was great because they announced pretty much everything everyone wanted. This year, it's time for Sony to make those dreams come true.

Gravity Rush 2 Release Date
Persona 5 NA/EU Release Date
TLG Release Date
Ni no Kuni 2 Release Date
Horizon: Zero Dawn Release Date
Surprise Japan Studio RPG Announcement
SE finally announces a full KH 2.9 for PS4 that has fucking everything related to KH in one massive package

Falls right on my birthday this year.

Honestly, I feel like I couldn't possibly have been born at a better time as a massive game enthusiast. E3 and my birthday coincide every year. It's amazing.

Throw in Soul Calibur. I can't help but feel it will be announced or teased. I BELIEVE!!!!

There once was a man from Nantucket
Who saw our marketing schedule and said "Fuck it"
Show all that we know
Makes for great shows
Dreams 2.0, better lock it

Off the top of my head. Eat that, marketing....
cool

Same I couldn't go back to TR2013 after TLOU. And can't get excited for Rise of The Tomb Raider after playing Uncharted 4.

How can you be disappointed about a presentation you have not seen yet?

Disappointed a month before the conference?
OK...

Well, after FF7R, Shenmue 3 and TLG, its hard not to be?

I mean I'm not super serious, like I won't be crying during the conference but I know last years was so fucking good that I know this years won't be that? If that makes any sense.

Please acknowledge that last years was off the fucking charts? At least to me.

I'd say it's a coincident. Tabata said FFXV's release date was determined long ago, while Atlus delayed P5 several times. There shouldn't be a conflict since P5 was supposed to be released in 2015.

To put it simply, Uncharted is the better all around game BUT Tomb Raider is so much more fun to play, in my opinion.
Oddly enough, I agree. For some reason I'm more hyped for RotTR than UC4, even now that UC4 is released and received universal praise. I think SE will tell us the release date soon, even though not in Sony conference.

Nothing can beat last year's E3, so this year Sony just needs to drop some release dates on us for it to be a good show. Oh, and hopefully the NEO is $399.

In the end, if I could only have 1 thing, all I want is P5 coming to the US/EU in 2016.

People on GAF are gonna get annoyed by seeing this for the umpteenth time but Sony, please put Shawn Layden in the Crash costume and let him announce the new Crash game through a megaphone. That's all I want from you:
E621E373-B448-446C-9C0C-04B5011F3223_zps8r8wb7vh.png

The reactions and meltdowns will amuse me.

The lights flash off and on again on stage you'll see shu, adam and shawn all in mascot costumes, one will be an ape,one a bandicoot and the other a dragon.
