Mass Effect 2/3 now Backward Compatible on Xbox One

Nah I think you got it right! So unfortunately people with 360 DO need gold to stash the saves in the cloud, but once there they won't need gold to access them on XB1. So a trial should(?) work I hope

I was able to do that with a 1 month Gold trial last year to get most of my BC saves over to the XB One. I can't remember if I did the ME2 & 3 saves (darn it). I guess I'll be dragging the 360 out of the box and using a 3 Month card, have to eventually start playing Gears 4 MP anyway.

Looks like EA Access members get the games free.

Holy shit, Mass Effect 3 is 27.5 gigs with all the DLC installed. Mass Effect 2 Is gonna be just as big with all the DLC installed too isn't it.

Looks like I am giving ME a try. I did play a bit of 2 and liked it. After I finish The Witcher 3, Blood and Wine Expansion, I am going to start on ME.

Wait a minute, I'm just checking my Ready To Install tab on the XB1 and ME2 ad ME3 are ready to install. Currently downloading ME3 at 15.63GB.

Are these games in the Vault!?

So...... did they work out the issue of save file transfers with the Cloud? Because if not then this becomes pretty pointless. Playing a Mass Effect game without a proper save transfer is like staring into the dark abyss.

Lol I was pleasantly surprised by the EA Access thing. Also surprised I was the first one to notice on here. I've never played through these so I'm pretty excited to try the series out!

Hopefully this pushes MS even more to get multi-disk games available on the digital store. For now, I suppose I'll just pay $5 to play them this month.

I'd like to see these + LO and BD on the xbl store

This is huge news. 360 BC is honestly one of the best things about this gen to me. I love that back in September I basically put in 30+ hours into a 360 game (Forza Horizon 1) on my XB1... with all the advantages that OS has (i.e. multi-tasking, snapping apps, XB1 friends list, taking screenshots, etc...).

What does this mean for the remaster prospects? Nail the coffin?

I was hoping they'd shift to a 'remaster in the spring, Andromedia in the Fall' plan, after their most recent comments embracing the idea of re-releases...

I was under the impression that the coffin was already six feet under.
