You don't think Sony would sell even MORE PS4 Pros if those few games I mentioned were to get a patch? You don't think people play those anymore, that Sony doesn't have metrics on systems connected to PSN on what people are playing and for how long?
I'm not talking about a single person and everyone's opinion is going to be different but we've seen time and time again where gamers will complain about something but then be part of the problem by buying in to DLC, day 1 games that are broken, etc. We take the abuse, it is part of the give and take of being a hardcore gamer these days. Doesn't mean ALL of us have to like it, I buy far fewer games day 1 now and am super weary about Season Passes.
I'm disappointed a bit by the way the PS4 Pro handles it's extra power but I'm excited about what is there already and what the future holds, again not everything is black and white. I am still buying the Pro for those future games, I honestly think the discussion around the Pro has been interesting to get other's perspectives, it helps me understand opposing points of view (At least in some cases that are well articulated and not just personal attacks).
Not alot more.
The majority of people who already wanted to play Bloodborne and the Witcher already did it.
Of course it would be nice and especially in both those cases, I would have also loved a patch. Allthough Bloodborne isn't officially off the table yet.
However, it's kinda the same argument and a weaker one, then we had with BC at the start of the gen.
People vastly overestimate the appeal of it.
I just understand studios like CDPR who're full into development of a new title and are just finished with Witcher 3.
Just take a look at the pro patches that will be here at launch, the majority of older games are Sony titles or are published by Sony.
There might be a few exceptions in the future as some other devs might drop a patch for an older title, but the majority of things will be from titles that only released during the last year or will have a release in the future.
Let's also not forget the price point, it's just not really attractive for some devs when your game is already a usual guest of the usual sales.
And yes, I think Sony should have invested a bit more with some titles they're associated to.
Like The Order, Bloodborne, Driveclub, Until Dawn, Killzone or Resogun, but that situation is tricky in some cases.
Another case would be devs who had nearly broken titles like Just Cause...
Is it just me but do all of these reviews seem a bit light? Even digital foundry's seem a bit half assed. Where are the noise metrics, vr comparisons , remote play analysis, etc. They have had the consoles for about a week and we know hardly anything new.
Partly.
We heard that DF only had one console and therefore SSD testing would just consume an unecessary amount of time.
Some things will be done soon enough I suppose.
