I keep getting full level up stats with my 5 stars Marth, so happy I rerolled.

I think higher rarity characters have a higher chance of gaining stats when leveling.

Otherwise, there would be a chance that a 3 star character could have better stats and a 5 star character.

Bought the Torchlit Castle for 1 orb.

EXP bonus upgrades from the castle are permanent.

It looks like you have to buy them in order and the next upgrade is 2 orbs.

20% to 40% etc.

It goes up to 100% but doing so uses up all your starting orbs plus the free 10 from My Nintendo...which I did.

Looks like I'm playing this "no gacha, core only" (there are some people that play FFRK like this on the side, it's surprising how much content they can get done this way...it becomes very hard though)

Yep. Just noticed Takumi jumped up from S tier like 30 mins ago to SS tier, which matches my experience so far because he's been a beast in battle.

I mean Roy seems to be quite good and if you like him sure.
I always go with characters I like, since getting attached to your characters/account is quite important, at least if you are in it for the long run.

I finally beat the hard mode of the special map but it only gave me a 2 star Sophia.

Also, you have to level up a character to 20 before you can increase their star rating.

I downloaded the JPN apk and it seemed to run fine on my phone with 1gb ram. Although I only did the first 2 tutorial battles.

Good news for us with older Android phones.

Now I'll wait for the game to actually come out in the US so I can download it legit from the play store.

Honestly I think you should just go for you units you want. Day 1 tiers aren't really that important.
