Gotta love this game, this is the second time they note content that seems to be just Exclusively not on Xbox One.

Actually, from the looks of it, those things are simply given with the Xbone version whether you preorder or not, unless I'm reading this wrong. Whereas on the PS4/PC side, unless you pre-order, you have to buy a Season Pass to enjoy the full list of things.

Co-op in this kind of game could do wonders. I hope they integrate in one of their future games. As far as this one goes, it looks absolutely incredible. I will certainly give it a shot
 
Is it because the Xbox live system needs to charge some monetary value for any addon?

I am probably wrong but wasn't this an issue with another dev wanting to give away free shit?
 
I always wished Publishers did this. It actually rewards people for preordering.

I hardly preorder nowadays because I can just wait for a sale with the game and finished DLC.
Or the GOTY edition that almost every game ever gets nowadays.

You mean Sniper Elite 3, which is pretty good.

Sniper Ghost Warrior is a different franchise made by different people and previous 2 installments sucked.

From the gameplay I've seen this looks better, but I'd still wait for reviews before pre-ordering or buying.

The fact they are giving away the season pass for free suggests to me that its content will be shitty. But yeah, thus is a weird initiative. It can't even be something Sony paid for as it makes no sense it'd be on PC as well.
 
Is this game even going to sell a lot of copies? If not then maybe Sony signed some kind of exclusivity deal to make it worthwhile for them.

No, that hasn't been the case for a very long time now. That use to be the case on Xbox 360. Some arbitrary rule that a developer could only release free DLC once every quarter (if I am remembering correctly) but was ultimately scrapped before the Xbox One released.
 
Smart move by CI Games on not giving the season pass to Xbox One owners knowing that it would most likely cause a problem and then solve it. Could easily see this as being planned all along just to get some hype and people talking about the game. Doesn't matter if it's positive or negative as long as people are talking about it.

I have seen walkthroughs of the beta and im definitely interested but will wait until late March before making a final decision. Hoping SGW3 will be mid tier version of Far Cry.
 
Careful people. Ghost Warrior 1 & 2 were shit. It's even more risky to make a pre-order of GW3.

It's the Sniper Elite series that's worth attention.
 
Any gameplay footage of the 2 pre-order prequel missions? I've seen enough of the main game, I wanna know how different these 2 extra missions are if I am to pre-order.
 
I...I honestly had forgotten this wasn't out yet. Interesting! Wonder if this will be something other companies try in the future.

That's cool and all that they went back and added the content, but I'm out. There are platform specific marketing deals and all that happen sometimes and I fully understand that, do what you have to do to get the most exposure for your game and get the advertisement funding you need... BUT that wasn't even it in this case here, it was literally a developer fucking with a particular userbase for no apparent reason other than to say, "fuck you guys".

Why should it even come to Xbox gamers getting upset with their idiotic decision to shaft them, and them to change it once (HDR), then for the same exact thing to happen again with shafting Xbox gamers on the Season Pass, gamers get upset again, then it takes fucking Phil Spencer getting involved for them to correct their idiocy the second time?

Fuck them.

I'm really surprised there is zero news on any gaming sites about this shit.
 
The game is delayed and it is a good thing imho, but I don't know if 20 more days is enough to fix all of the game's problems (primeraly performance and not so great PC options with a bunch of effects bound to one setting / option).

From a press release:

"We've worked tirelessly creating a whole new Sniper Ghost Warrior experience set in an ambitiously crafted open world new to the series," said said Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games. "While it's an unfortunate decision to delay the game one last time, we believe these final changes will result in a better experience for players worldwide on day one. Thank you for your patience – we know the wait will be worth it."

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 launches on the PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One and Windows PC on April 25, 2017.
