Destiny 2 |OT| Here We Go Again

What does it mean to "drop like candy"? When you think about it... it makes no sense!

You know....I guess it doesn't lol

But generally speaking it means they drop ALL THE TIME. Like seriously everything you do gives you gear. Hell gear even tends to give you more gear when you break it down lol

I hope there's still people looking to Raid. >w>

Gonna try and get a blind Raid team up for when it hits (PS4);

1: Me (PSN: TiemenMeijer)
2: TheMostHumanAI
3:
4:
5:
6:

I'll take a slot.
(If you're gonna look at my character, I'm running my alt right now, that's why its low. I'll bring a 280+ something Warlock)
PSN: Harlan_Ryudo

edit: ok, hold on, keep me in mind, if there's more people that want to run it, they can take my slot

I am still trying to figure out what Destiny IS. I am enjoying myself, but it is pretty highly scripted. It's PSO-like nature is addicting but shaking things up might not be a bad thing down the line.

It's really not that confusing a genre. Destiny has all the trappings of an MMORPG. The only differences are that it's an FPS and it's not Massively Multiplayer.

Everything else about it is MMO inspired. Hell, Luke is a Scarab Lord from WoW.

No it does not, this is because of a legendary perk slot that adds 5 power level to your armor.

Becareful of dismanteling armor that has a legendary perk.

I jumped into Destiny 2 last night, thanks to all the positive impressions I'm seeing. Didn't play Destiny 1 either. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Music is fantastic and shooting feels really good.

In my mind, it's not that confusing as I consider Destiny as an Action oriented Loot FPS.

It's still a FPS in the end, there isn't much difference between Destiny and Borderland regarding the genre apart that you have behind-the-scene matchmaking.

I wish there was an Infusion Calculator.

What happens in this scenario:

Weapon A : PL 282 has a +5
Weapon B: PL 282 has a +5

If you infuse one into the other-there's no change, right?

Well, you should always be wary dismantling legendary gear, and yes Legendary mods are valuable.

I think he was referring to the fact though that dismantling gear gives you gunsmith mats which directly translate to more gear (Gunsmith engrams)

Welcome :)

Fun right?
Haha not at all, it's sweaty as hell. I do not constantly want to play in a fireteam everytime I jump into Crucible to be able to compete.
It's even worse than in D1, guess the "muh magical social experience" thing Bungie always raves about aspect finally fully caught up to the general public.

I don't dare go into the crucible without at least having a fireteam of 3.
It shouldn't be like that but I guess it's a lost cause now.

Yep. Am I wrong for wishing when I play them that they get stuck in traffic with diarrhea the next day?
Hahaha you have my sword and laxatives, I just want to play Crucible casually :/

I always thought it was a reference to american vending machines!

That feeling when you spawn into a half-finished heroic public event and you get an exotic engram, feels good.

I'd be surprised if it even let you do that, the infusion material has to be higher power I think...

But yeah that wouldn't do anything so no calculator needed haha.

where are my 229 power, 1 character people who have families and lives outside of gaming? Woot woot!

*Waves at Chitown B*

I'm playing about as much as I can, but I'll always be a long way behind the others here.
The good news is that I've only scratched the surface of the content. I still need to do most adventures and stuff like exotic quests, nightfalls and treasure maps will take up a lot of my playtime. I mean, I managed do the flashpoint in one day, while other people seem to be doing literally every weekly milestone on Tuesday and complaining they have nothing left for the rest of the week.

I'm still levelling up much faster than in D1, though I'm wondering what the actual PL damage scaling is.

In D1, you'd doing about 1/3 damage and taking 3x as much in return just for being a couple of levels under the enemies (maybe equivalent to 20 power).
D2 doesn't explicitly give the enemy power levels and I have no idea how damage scaling works.

I'm hoping that power level 265 will be enough for normal people to do the raid, since that is apparently when the level grind gets tough. I seem to remember D1 officially being level 26 min, but it was realistically L27 if you were carried, very careful or very good - with Level 28 being the general requirement if you wanted to succeed with an ad-hoc group.

I've still not done any serious party/fireteam stuff, but I expect I'll do some soon now that the clan roster is working in-game.

That crucible game mode where you have to collect engrams that drop from dead bodies is cancer.

I LOVE Supremacy!!!

it shouldn't be, that's the reason why I go in with a fireteam

as another Gaffer put it:

They built an entirely new game's multiplayer with just Trials players in mind. Everybody else got a fuck you pity mode that plays like unbalanced garbage unless you're putting together four man teams before you start.

Anyway, my current power level is 271 and man, it's like slowly pushing a wall right now.

Said it since D1 launched: Its like PSO, CoD and Halo had some weird freaky 3 way and Destiny was born

288 Warlock looking for Raid team

I bring the passion, tenacity, and 7 layer dip (really 8 layers, the last layer is love. Huzzah!)

Agreed. Every game is pretty much...

And I hate it. It's not fun to me like D1's PvP was.

Mods don't affect infusion AT ALL.
Basically,

Weapon A - Light 282 (+5)
Weapon B - Light 282 (+5)

Trying to infuse one into the other will do NOTHING! I also doubt the game would even let you do this infusion.

Similarly,

Weapon A - Light 282 (+5)
Weapon B - Light 280

Infusing B into A will change A into Light 285(+5). Basically, even though Light of Weapon A seems higher than B, in this case, it's only artificially higher due to the mod. A's base light was 277 and B's was 280, therefore, after infusing with B, A becomes more powerful. This is the reason that you should ALWAYS try to infuse INTO weapons that already have a +5 Legendary mod. This only applies till you hit 280 and have enough rare mods and glimmer to create Legendary mods of your own. After that, do what you wish.

Guess you never played it in D1 when shotguns were secondary weapons.

Oh hey, let me turn the corner to go down this hallway.

SLIDING GUARDIAN SHOTGUN TO THE BALLS

Well that was unpleasant. Let me just go this other direction.

Damn, I think my raid leader is dead. Liam something on here.

5 min before I'll switch to another group if nothing starts happening.
