It might be one of its smallest problems, but I think it's still an important one.
For someone not too involved in videogames, no one is going to know that Series S comes after One S. Specially because the console before that was called 360 and the one before was just Xbox.
I mean compare this:
Xbox
Xbox 360
Xbox One (it's already messy as fuck at this point but hey...let's keep going)
Xbox One S
Xbox One X
Xbox Series X
Xbox Series S
to this
Playstation
Playstation 2
Playstation 3
Playstation 4
Playstation 5
Naming your product right is literally the one thing you can't miss. Ask Nintendo with the Wii and then Wii U.
I bet hubby was expecting to get a Series X and she got a One X.
All I'm getting from this is the dude is really passive in his relationship. He's the type of dude that watches his wife assemble the bike they bought their kids, but takes the time to leave a negative review because he thought it looked difficult.
It's the very end of the year silly season upon us. Trolls get to cut lose after being kept in line for the past 12 months. Everyone can now go mad as some kind of reward. This feels like a troll post lol.
1,2,3,4 tells you exactly which console is newer. You need literally BASIC knowledge about math if 5 is higher than 3 or not. That's it. Same as knowing that year 2009 is before 2024.Not as dumb proof as 1 and 2 but they are two totally different words....
Yes.
I get it, there are different models that do different stuff, it just struck me that the Xbox section was packed to bursting with a selection of consoles, and none of them could run any of the software sold in the same section, it was just weird. I know Sony is lagging in this area too, but at least someone could walk in off the street and buy a game and system that work together, even with only 2 systems left.
also Switch and soon to be Switch 2. As per this OP the wife would pikachu face the 2 and wonder why the OG switch will not workIt could never be as bad as the "new" 3ds debacle back in the day. You had your 2ds, your new 2ds, the 3ds the 3ds xl, the new 3ds, the new 3ds xl. I feel like there's more than that.
Unfortunately Microsoft is run by expensive marketeers and they don't do simple. For people who are on forums 24/7 it may seem silly, but for the majority of the market the names Xbox, one, one s, one x, series x, series s, etc... are very confusing, when it's so easy to just put numbers on them and that's it.
How about adults stop being fucking idiots and spend 3 minutes reading with comprehension?
I bought a PSX off ebay figuring it must be twice as powerful as the PS5. I can't even get it to read the disks.
My guess is she bought the Series S and a physical game on Amazon. Reminds me of this shit:Oh good, another
I'm finding the reason that this is a story difficult to understand.
"My kids want a game that won't play on the console we have, so my wife asked which console we needed and bought one. Then she bought the game."
That's what the words mean, as far as I can tell. Is that the story?
Xbox
Xbox 360
Xbox One (it's already messy as fuck at this point but hey...let's keep going)
Xbox One S
Xbox One X
Xbox Series X
Xbox Series S
Yes, because as we all know, One logically precedes Series. What?it's not that difficult
Xbox One
Xbox One S
Xbox One X
Xbox Series S
Xbox Series X
i do agree MS need to fix their naming but c'mon One, S , X. if that confuses you then it's your own stupid fault.
Last gen = One
Current gen = Series
Not as dumb proof as 1 and 2 but they are two totally different words....
