Custom shepards are terrible. Standard shepard is best shepard.
WHY, why does he look kind of like Brad Pitt in the ME3 pic.![]()
Bioware this is unacceptable.

I was thinking so, but I have not seen quite enough shops in my time it seems.Judging from the pixels, it may have been shopped.
*points finger at screen*
It all feels like those movie sequels where you couldn't hire the original actor, so you got someone who looks pretty much like him, but he's clearly someone else...
It's just so jarring.
Worth playing, loving it so far except for Kaidan in my game.
Mine is ok i guess, considering i've been using a ME2 code. Still are some differences.I wonder if Obama Shepard is ok
I'm confused by this glitch. If I get ME2 on ps3, will the character transfer with no issues to ME3 on ps3?
I feel pity for those who haven't started playing the game yet (or at least those who are claiming such on the internet) over this face issue. It really wasn't that big of a hassle to redesign the character face. I don't like that the feature is broken, and I'm not approving of shipping a game that is broken, but not playing the game when a suitable workaround exists seems pointless to me.
I tried this fan-made tool on the demo.
it looks HORRIBLE. No way I'm playing with that.
edit: may be it's better with the full game? I have uninstalled it already...
You should definitely check out the parts the fan made tool couldn't decipher. For me it was hairstyle, haircolor, beard, nose shape and eyebrows. It's quite alot that it can't decipher, but in the end all of the other facial information was obtained properly and as such my Shepard now looks the way he should. Hair and such are pretty easy to set to the correct thing.
I've been playing around with the demo and my xbox save while waiting for my game to arrive and the skin tone seems hard to replicate too. Essentially because the character customization screen darkens the skin a lot compared to the first scenes and no matter what I do, my Shepard seems either too pale or too dark. You should definitely check out the parts the fan made tool couldn't decipher. from Bioware forums said:*sigh* was hoping this would be sorted while I was away for the weekend. Funnily enough, I spoke to a friend who works at Bioware on my way out... I LOL at the notion of this being treated with the importance stated in the press... the bug is actually outsourced to EA for them to fix as it was considered "low priority" in terms of the game.
See that I can understand. It's not a gamebreaker, and I can see why they wouldn't treat it as a massive priority (even though on a personal note, it's killing me not being able to use my Shep) just don't smuggle me a suitcase nuke and tell me that slight uranium leak is all in hand...
I had this problem, but I really didn't care too much about it tbh, creating a new Shepard was fun, as character creators usually are.
I think I did well

Seemed to work just fine:

Because they fully regenerated his body in the start of ME2? Scars weren't kept in that, just look at those screens again, and I distinctly remember losing my scar in ME2. Seriously, it'd make no sense to recreate scars when regenerating from a lump of charcoal. That's one I don't get, why did they remove facial features in this version of the character creator? My ME1/ME2 Shepard doesn't have his scar in ME3 like yours.
Why would they do that?
Is there really still no official fix?
I don't get why a lot of you guys don't just get your ME2 Face Code and input it in ME3.
You don't get one if you imported a face from ME1, and you can't tweak the imported face directly, just accept it as-is (and get no code) or start over from scratch.

The face code of an ME2 character from an ME1 import is very different even if copied/pasted to another ME2 save. It's very strange.Oh really? That insanely sucks. I'm pretty sure you can get the code from ME2 though, just not sure if it works.
IF that's the case, then holy shit why they taking so long
What I ended up doing was running ME2 and since it shows you import face just switch between that and the custom until I get them to pretty much match.
This... was much smarter than the way the rest of us did it. (-_-)
What I ended up doing was running ME2 and since it shows you import face just switch between that and the custom until I get them to pretty much match. The i copied the code and used it in ME3. I got a face pretty damn close a few tweaks here and there and i was off. Was simpler in my opinion then following that fan fix and probably quicker. Took me maybe 15 minutes.
