Oh, ok. I'm on east coast, so you're watching a delay of one of the rare things NBC possibly showed live.
It seems like CNBC and MSNBC are on a slight delay where NBC has the massive "lol put the best events at primetime delay". For instance they seemed to show the fencing less than an hour after it wrapped up but it was still delayed.
Though sometimes you have the west coast delay on top of that. Airing the sports, what, 9 hours later?

Handball is massively entertaining.
I was kind of hoping there would be a protest outside of their studios with someone hooking up a TV with the BBC iPlayer and a loud-speaker to announce instant results.
What? You can dislike indoor volley but saying beach volley is more popular is completely false. I don't even know who Walsh/May are, maybe they are famous in the US, but in by numbers alone indoor volleyball is the second most popular sport in the world after football (soccer).

Yea, the channel lineup chart is awful on their site. I still can't figure out if they're going to air the May & Walsh beachvolleyball game on TV/primetime or if it's stream only.

I never said it is more popular (if you mean people playing the sport). There are not enough courts for people to play.
But saying it is a diversion is just stupid. It gets more TV coverage in Europe than "real" volleyball.

Just tuned in for the first time. Damn, volleyball can be pretty exciting.
so far this is the best NBC has done with the Olympics. they're live streaming each event and now have a dedicated sports channel to throw games on besides just MSNBC/CNBC and Bravo. it's not on the level of BBC, but they have the luxury of being tax-funded and having a massive built-in audience as the hosting country. they also have Beadle, who was hosting this morning on the NBCSports/MSNBC feed.

Women's volleyball right now is quite exciting. US v South Korea. Lots of insane back and forths.
BBC's website has complete coverage. I tried that BBC Player on this thread's recommendation but using ExPatShield and bbc.com is way better.
NBC's efforts are laughable even when compared to non-UK based networks. There are no excuses.

And the stream for the handball match that the schedule says is supposed to be on NBC Sports doesn't even have commentary. I know they can't do commentary for every last thing as it happens, but you would think something listed on their television schedule MIGHT qualify.
