I'm pretty upset about the badminton nonsense that occurred yesterday, very upset. It is a slap to the face to others competing and spectators who paid to watch a match. The South Koreans blame the Chinese ("they started it"), the Chinese say they were saving energy and goodness knows what the Indonesians have used as their excuse because it worked (the referee actually disqualified them but then rescinded it after an appeal).
Spectators should demand their money back and be refunded and all players involved disqualified and given a ban from competing for a period of time. Anything less and the image of the sport is damaged.

World number 1, but only the 8th seed in the tournament.
The world ranking is more important. The tournament seed was just made from a shoot-out from before it started, so kinda not that official.
The tournament seed shows who are the best archers among them right now.
Man I had high hopes from Deepika for a medal atleast. This sucks. We arent gonna win a single gold this year
no offense but I didn't know that India were this poor at the olympics.
Only 1 gold since 1980 for 1.4bn people. Crazy!
Mens eight both teams have rowers from University of Washington so I'm rooting for them both!

Yea. People here only care about Cricket and thats it. None of the other sport get 0.1% of the funding cricket gets. If they would we would be racking up medals quite often. But to be honest situation has been improving and we have medal contenders still in Boxing and Shooting and Badminton. 12 years back we didnt. 12-16 yrs back i doubt we would have a contingent bigger than 20 athletes. This time around we sent over 100 our biggest contingent ever.

Good chance in Male boxing in atleast 2 weight categories. 75+ and 69+
Good chance in badminton with Saina Nehwal, our male badminton player has already reached QF but seems like he will be playing world no.1 . Shooting also has a slight chance. I was sure our Female contingent will do well at Archery but they disappointed.
So far we have won 1 Bronze medal thats it.

All I was interested in at the olympics was womens gymnastics and team USA playing basketball but all i ever get on TV here (in Australia) is bloody swimming.
