I don't buy into this whole "well technically they didn't break any rules" or "I only did it because the tournament rules are dumb and it made me do it." It may be the case (and the round robin system is broken, no argument there), but that's no excuse for that kind of behaviour from professional athletes and when someone tries to defend it along those lines it sure sounds pathetic. You can try to justify / rationalise it all you want - it's still cheating.
