Aha, aha and whatever happened to this 'Olympic spirit' thing? or does that only apply when people feel they want to use it. I would much prefer leaving the technical stuff to those people whose job it is to find anyone that's cheating. Then I will start calling foul until then as far as I'm concerned it's a celebration of the world's best athletes showcasing the heights of performance. Also like I said it's not as if China exclusively excel on sports where you can dope like mad to win. So even the excuse of 'no history of success' doesn't really hold much water.

I seem to recall the US dominates women's soccer, women's basketball, Men's basketball, is # 1 in Women's Volleyball, Women's rowing and dominate with both sexes in beach volleyball along with the Brazilians. Plenty of team sports.
Sorry, it's just China's history. Too many times before I have seen China start excelling in a sport where they have had "no history of success" and it has been fraudulent. I will give any other country the benefit of the doubt (except North Korea) but I am not naive. Fool me once, shape on you, fool me over and over and over again and I will not trust you anymore.

The GB team were suspected of cheating (using technological means - sort of like those swimming suits) after the 2008 Olympics due to their medal haul but were cleared.
