Gymnastics, much like ballet, requires so much mental concentration to even be competent let alone competitive that it's not surprising to me how fragile some of these women are when a single aspect of their routine goes wrong.

Lord, Gabby Douglas on the beam was amazing. Not quite up there with Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin, but amazing nonetheless.

Yeah. I said it earlier in this thread but Nastia and Shawn were amazing. There final all-around scores were ridiculous. It's unfortunate for both of them. It's always great to see new talent though. Gabby, Jordyn, Aly, Mckayla, and Kyla are pretty good.

Two things.

1) I remember being a 11-12 watching that with my mom and dad. My dad freaked out in expletives when he saw that, my mom had her mouth covered going omg. And I was like "WOW". That moment is so iconic. Chills. Right down the spine.
