Surprised Del Potro hasn't been broken yet. After squandering so many opportunities to grab a hold of the match, you'd think it would get to him at some point. Maybe he's getting some help from Federer....cuz del Potro isn't known for his mental strength.

How come India only has one medal (bronze)? From such a big population I thought they would have more possibilities for medals (regardless of money or whatever).

focus on other sports, lack of money/funds, limited sports infrastructure for stadiums, pools, arenas, etc are probably all contributing factors.

Team GB doing well today I see? Women's Double Sculls was a Bronze in Beijing, and we didn't even get medals for Men's Single Sculls and Men's Coxless Pair in Beijing. So all going well!
I'm still pissed about the relegation in the female track teams semi's yesterday, and the road race failure. Two gold medals that we threw away.

I don't imagine i'll feel better about those even if we somehow beat our Beijing gold medal count.

The whole GB Team came out in white & gold during the opening ceremony so I don't know

what that says about us.
Yes, but that was selected for them. With Federer he chooses to come out with a white and gold jacket.

It says a lot about his personality in my opinion.

meh I wouldn't worry too much.

We have a shot at 3rd if Russia continue to underperform

Holy shit... Rick! I did not expect that. No matter what happens, he already performed welll above expectations and should be proud!

A medal would be awesome though.

We didn't throw the road race away, we couldn't have done any more really. Problem was that everyone knew our game plan and for whatever reason the other countries in the peleton (who didn't have a rider in the breakaway) weren't particularly interested in working to bring the breakaway back. The guys could have never expected that as under normal circumstances they'd have all worked together to bring it back.

We did however throw away the track race, I really, really feel for Varnish more than Pendleton though. :(

1- Nike most likely picks his clothes as they make a shitload of money out of Roger.
2- It says more about yours that you're judging someone by the color of their clothes, lol.

(Sailing)

Ben Ainslie having a good leg. Currently leading.

WRT Federer, I can't help feeling that the RF logo on everything says more about him than his choice of clothing / colours.

He is certainly much classier than a lot of the people criticizing him in this thread

I like how the commentator keeps making a big deal about Fed's UEs. As if they have had any bearing on this match. One break of serve, 1 set all, on serve.....with Fed saving a boat load of BPs along the way.

The BIG points are what matters. Not what happens at 15-15

So proud of NZ, rowing up a storm today. :D

The team absolutely dominating everything and then Mahe redemption from last Olympics being gimped into bronze from sickness.

Not denied this time! Gooooold! :D

I think we could have won the road race had the team GB guys stayed with that breakaway on the last lap. I think the gap was only something like 15 seoncds at that point. The only question is whether Cav would have had enough energy for the finish.

Was that Varnish's only chance of a medal? That really sucks.

Indeed, other countries will suffer the same ... hard to swallow incidents, like that Korean Girl.
Can we factually say she got screwed yet? I've been looking for a definitive answer on that since it happened.
