I can't swim so I always feel a bit disconnected from the swimming events.

I don't know if I can swim. I used to go a bit when I was younger but I haven't done anything in years so I'm pretty sure I'd sink like a brick now. In fact, I try and avoid lakes and ponds in case there's a small child drowning and people expect me to react.
