You are always taking a risk when your hands come up near your chest or neck. The state of the handball rule is a joke, but that's how it gets interpreted sometimes. It's why you see guys keep their hands behind their back or at their sides now.

I hate to say it but Canada ain't winning bronze. We are the greatest 4th place nation in the world. If 4th place was a medal, we'd lead in the standings.
Also, this was a demoralizing loss. It's going to take a lot to come back from this. Guess we can never doubt Sinclair though.

I'd rather have mistakes made on human error than have every single touchdown and every single play in the final few minutes reviewed. Replay totally kills the momentum of the game.

One of the nice things about being a teacher is having the summer off, assuming you have things to do so as not to become bored. It also makes watching the Olympics live without NBC commentators lowering your IQ possible.

So much Canadian salt in this thread.
I get that it's hard for refs to judge correctly in those situations, but noone would award a penalty for that after seeing a replay.

Those bad calls never happened, it's just salt!! They didn't call a delay of game in this game at that moment for no reason whatsoever even though they literally never call it.
I'm not sure everyone here understands the handball rule.
It has to be an intentional handball. If either of those were intentional then the girls did a very good job of hiding it.
Shit happens in football though.

Sorry, but the Canadian team really get screwed over. That "delay of game" call against the canadian keeper, the penalty, the ball out of field not being called, the handball by Rapinoe.... its really hard to say claim that the USA didnt win this because of the ref.
