What's wrong with admitting that she's a very attractive person? 1 year from now when she's legal, I doubt she will look any different.

True, here's a picture taken of her when she was 15

here's a set of 20 pics
McKayla Maroney

Edit: I wonder if she has Anthony Davis teeth, because she never smiles, only grins

it's really the one-two punch of what happened which stings most. bad/bizarre calls happen in football, that's just how it is. but two of them consecutively directly leading to a penalty kick? that's pretty rough.

those are the kinds of calls that make you suspect the integrity of the officiating.

Yea. And depending on what state you live in in the US it's already legal.

This sounds creepy...

Wow really? So if a 16 yr old girl and a 19 yr old guy got married in a state where 16 is legal, and they moved back to the state they were born in, does that mean they can't have sex anymore? (sorry totally off topic)

They'd be married anyway, so not having sex would already be well covered.

Her teeth are alright, it seems :P

Off topic (or is it On-topic at this hour? lol), my preferred athlete is Maria Kirilenko. So lovely!

Huh? As with any other law, the law applies to you from the jurisdiction of which you are in, not where you're from. (btw, the age of consent in the US is 16 in about half the states, 17 in about 1/4 and 18 in about 1/4.
heh... not so much with the US. Seems US law applies worldwide.

Though that might be limited to the MPAA etc.

LMAO, I thought people were joking when they said a judo medalist took down the bottle thrower in the Men's 100m.

Bless.

When it comes to the internet, jurisdiction becomes a weird issue. I think Megaupload got hit because they had servers in the U.S. or something. I'm not sure.

Then I must be mistaken. Can a pedophile travel to Iran and, while there, have sexual liasons with nine year olds?

Yeah, just like you can go smoke marijuana in any of the countries where it's legal.

Sex outside the country. The PROTECT Act, §105(a)(c), modified the law against "sex tourism" and establishes an age of consent of 18 for Americans engaging in any sexual encounter outside the USA. Thus, even in places where it is legal and socially acceptable for an adult to date an adolescent, an American doing so is subject to prosecution for it by the US government. There is no exception for marriage, so an American of any age marrying anyone under 18 in another country, even with the blessings of the parents and with a legitimate marriage license from the local jurisdiction, is breaking this law.

I will say I didn't know about this law. This is a special case I guess. But, after some digging, I found this law is mostly about child pornography. Also it seems no one has been prosecuted for the under age sex part, as the legality of it is considered dubious. Also, it outlaws commercial sex with someone under 18 and non commercial sex with someone under 16. So it's not a blanket 18.
