Off topic, but if it makes you feel better, i went to Paris expecting to run into rude aweful Parisians (especially because i don´t speak any French), got back yesterday and only ran into one mildly rude American tourist during my stay. French people are sweeties with cute accents !

Last time I checked it's France-Spain in Basketball, team gb doesn't even begin to enter the equation, also yesterday two boxing matches were fixed to advantage a gb boxer.

USA is a lock for 2 more golds today I think, 200M and of course beach volleyball. Cause no matter who wins, US gets Gold and Silver. After that we have a favorite in 110 hurdles, 400 hurdles and long jump (returning 2008 Olympic Champ). And a gold or silver in boxing still to come.

Most of the sports I see on Chinese TV are football (soccer) & basketball, though I don't watch the sports channels that much. I'd imagine it is much like every other nation, watching the olympics but not really caring about the olympic sports through the rest of the year. Ping Pong probably the one exception I suppose.
