Why would the US not be able to win if it was only 23 and under? It's not like the rule would just apply to us, and it's not like other countries are deep with their 23 and under talent. Most of the international players are old, like Manu, because they don't have a lot of experienced young players.

As expected China is appealing the result of the women's hammer throw competition, I honestly can't blame them. The judges better have a plausible and convincing explanation how this could happen (and how Heidler's result is truly valid). I probably wouldn't have changed/corrected the result after the competition in the first place.

Track has had some really odd organisation mishaps this Olympics, I guess they could always give them both the Bronze and try and forget it
