well that's that. damn. such a rare treat to see everyone in the uk so happy and united, even if just for a fortnight. so proud of what we achieved in both giving the world such a great show and performing in the sports. completely fucking worth it.
gaf is so well suited to the olympics with the large number of posters from across the world and large number of events meaning everyone is always talking about something and directing you to cool events you didn't know to watch. great to share it all with you guys.

A Question of Sport is being replaced by "Olympics 2012: A Golden Games".... but I'm not sure exactly when, and it's not in the listings magazines which have already been printed.

Well done London ! I never though the city would do a great job at it (especially coming after Beijing) and I wasn't hyped at all until the opening ceremony, but it turned awesome. One of the best OG's !

Whilst we haven't always got along in this thread, We've argued, we've used the word 'salty' way too much. We've laughed, we've cried. It's time to say goodbye. I want to say thanks to all of you for making this special. For cheering for every country, at every sport. It's been an excellent Olympics.

Tomorrow night. 10:35. It's what those montages during the 7:30-9pm show were from. Probably tons more wrap ups coming up.
Wow, I feel stupid. I thought that was straight away.
I want to get back into some Badminton but it's too expensive for me right now.
As for a new sport ? Maybe some endurance running, like 3000m steeple. Dunno yet.

Looking at the Winter Olympic event list is so depressing, only a paltry 15 events and that includes like 3 variations of skiing.
