No surprise given who he's taking orders from - the anti-Jeff Green.

Well, I know what I'm parodying next week.
It almost writes itself. Almost.
No surprise given who he's taking orders from - the anti-Jeff Green.
I want to join in on the fun.
The place I'm currently writing for doesn't have any room for parody.
This can't be real.
The stuff in the video is pretty idiotic, though. Who'd think that is a good idea...
It's a stupid joke, but a joke nonetheless right? I mean, if it really is real why the hell do people even bother with this guy? How can a "journalist" get away with stuff like this?
Oh, it is 100% real.
is Polygon a website yet?
Just to clarify, since you didn't hear about it ... it was also all completely his fault. There is a giant red X on the map that is the correct spot to fish. It's super, super easy. But if you try it twice and fail, it actually just gives you the fish. When people pointed this out to him in the comments, he didn't update the review at all.
You can even see the giant red X on the bottom right during the video. The fishing works completely fine. McElroy just literally couldn't follow a giant red X on his map because he wasn't even remotely paying attention.
:lol!McElroy getting owned hard.
Worst thing is that all I can think of when I see his name is that stupid cut in the preview for the doc where he's strumming on a fucking guitar as his girlfriend zones out. I wonder if it's an analogy for how they have sex.
Deep down, even though I revile Arthur Gies, I thought his Twitter feed was just a gross exaggeration of him. This video actually makes him seem even more insufferable than his online persona.
We're probably feeding them material for their next episode.
"The ridicule of games writers"
How cruel is it that we lose guys like Jeff Green, Robert Ashley and Shawn Elliott and tools like these flourish?

Because people who actually want to do good work and change the culture just go to it without beating their chests and get ground down by reality while people who just say they want these things get instant cred and proceed to not give a shit
That actually really put it into perspective for me.Not cruel at all. There is a reason those guys go one to create and influence interesting and meaningful content while guys like the Polygon Superteam of Revolutionary Journalism are stuck slightly rephrasing press releases and slapping numbers on the games they play.
:lol!Yeah man we have it so hard, you're starting to sound like the documentary now

Managed to choke down 2 minutes of their latest video.
Had to type this post with my elbows because my face is still buried in my hands.
Yeah man we have it so hard, you're starting to sound like the documentary now
Jesus, what a cop out. Fess up to your stuff, son.
Am I to be wary of anything he writes in case he evolves again later on down the road?
Arthur Gies comes across as such an asshole, doesn't he?

Can't a man evolve?
Jesus, what a cop out.
So we're supposed to disregard any and all of his work before this 'evolution'?
Am I to be wary of anything he writes in case he evolves again later on down the road?
Not to call out people or make this something "controversial" but it seems like Alexa-ray doesn't really like Arthur. A lot of fake giggles in response to Arthur's replies.
Just an observation.

His response on twitterJustin McElroy ‏@JustinMcElroy
@GraemeHobbs can't a man evolve?
Ryan Collins ‏@MSpoilerAhead
@JustinMcElroy @GraemeHobbs Yes. He can. So then, do it.
Josh ‏@joshlowe
@JustinMcElroy @GraemeHobbs Do you define 'evolution' as dancing with a copy of Skyrim?

My response to that - 'Do you define 'evolution' as dancing with a copy of Skyrim?'
I'm hoping the Brodeo gets back together for one episode just to discuss all this. I need to hear Shawn Elliot griefing stories.
