That is because we will get PGR5 as a launch title..

BELIEVE!

Would rather have them make a next gen Horizon actually. Throw in some rain/snow, up the physics and framerate, flesh out more events and vehicle types.

This game has killed what interest I had left for a proper Forza or even GT sequel if they both continue their tired formula.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
btw someone confirm, are there cops or any "authority" cars in the full game ? nothing in the demo.

Anyone have decent wheel settings for a CSR? I updated the FW on the wheel and lost my settings.

Using a CSRE here.

900 degrees
ffb 100
shock 100
deadzone 010
spring 0
damper OFF
linearity 0

Ingame I left steering deadzone at 1 but altered the clutch a little.

Finished wrapping my wheel in tennis racquet and electrical tape, fuck me does it look rough but feels so better than the plasticky stock rim.

If you're in the continental US, DM me your shipping information.

Hmm, not in continental US, i recently moved to Australia....game prices in Australia are no joke...Plus im planning on getting the Season pass too.
That would be a problem then. I don't think this copy is region free.
My console is American......every game ive bought since i moved to Australia has been region free is Forza Horizon not region free??
Ill still PM you my details.

It sounds like FH is a totally different beast when played with a proper wheel. I've only played with a pad so far (my GT2 is out of commission at the moment following accidental drunken damage during a BBQ a few weeks ago. Valuable lesson learned) but the FFB and overall feel were lacking. If the wheel improves this then my interest might increase. I normally do play arcade racers in chase cam with a pad though.

I am so tempted to get a cheap 360 just for this one game, having previously had 6 consoles die on me and swearing NEVER EVER EVER to ever buy another 360 ever again. =0)

Damn platform exclusives.

Based on the demo, the game is SO MUCH BETTER with a force feedback wheel.

As I said in a previous post, it's night and day.

I'm sure PD is working on a open world game. There going to have two guys laser scan THE WORLD. It will be done in spring of 2105 with all new light jazz tracks.

Speaking of scanning the world, did anyone every play FUEL, game world was unbelievably massive for a racing/driving game. Was a bit boring though.

The demo is good. Looks nice for a console game, I like the handling and the soundtrack was pretty funky.

30fps is shit though. Shit shit shit. Shame the consoles are so old.

I got the same problem, except for the whole consoles dying on me (it was just one).

Seeing a ripped 360S on Ebay for about 100 bucks doesn't make the decision easier.

I agree that 60fps is better, but the IQ is amazing and the demo plays smooth as butter. I'm buying, and don't wanna miss out because it's 30 fps

To be honest, I wouldn't have known that it was 30 FPS if I didn't know it before playing the demo.

The game plays smooth imo.

Is there any word on what cars the Launch Day DLC pack will contain? The LE mentions it will consist of 5 cars, and while I doubt any of them are Spykers, it might make all the difference.

Also, I still would like to know if the VIP Car Pack will be made avaialable at a later date, as was the case with Forza 4.

Still think it a hugely missed opportunity to not integrate Forza 4 car packs with this title - such a huge gesture would have been fantastic and np doubt generated a lot of good-will for the franchise (and perhaps even calm down the entire 'moneyhatting spinoff nonsense' angle that appears to persist in some naysayers)

Due to night-time driving, all car models had to be upgraded for both lights and interior dashboards illumination.

I guess it took some hefty time to get it right (lights colors, illumination colors, etc.), so the probable reason is partially because of that.

Ah, of course - I hadn't considered that.

Still, I hope it is something that will be considered with titles going forward...

Even a discount for those who have the dlc or some of it would've been a nice gesture.

Can´t wait for this game!

The demo has convinced 4 of my friends so I will finally have people I know to play against.

Had to play all the Forzas with strangers.

One question for those who know - Is there an option to activate rubber banding in Multiplayer? That´s actually a thing I would want.

I'm pretty sure most cars in fm4, were already night time-ready though.
I would think T10 was smart enough to think about that beforehand, so that they don't have to rework on 600+ cars next time.

Actually, if you use the glitch that allows you to place the camera "inside the car" in photo mode, you can see all car models with disappearing headlights actually have their headlights fully modeled and textured under the hood, despite the game never showing them.
I think FM4 was supposed to have night time racing, or at least working headlights for races taking place at dusk.

I understand why it's 30fps, I just wish we had new consoles two years ago like we should have so this could be 60.

These consoles are not why this game is 30fps. The developer was making a more "fun" Forza, and knew it's target audience doesn't give a shit about framerates, so they went with the best graphics they could deliver at 30fps.

What a load of bull. Foliorum Viridum is right, developers always want more but had to made concessions because of the old hardware.

i think even with next gen hardware, devs would have prioritized graphics over framerate for a game like horizon.

I really can't see current-gen hardware to render 60fps game with fully-streaming environments.

Of course it *could* be done, but both IQ and presentation would be impacted dramatically (double the bandwidth, etc.)

However, the current developments in console-programming (separation of physics and graphics for better optimisation) has done wonders IMO. Recent batch of 30fps driving games looks and feels way better than 30fps racers from the beginning of the generation.

Can't wait to try Horizon in the full glory.

Yes, they want more, but that doesn't necessarily translate into higher frame rate. The vast majority of console games runs at 30 fps, and that's not going to change with new machines. I fully expect Horizon (and PGR, which I'm confident will make a comeback) to remain a 30 fps franchise.
