did anyone (who has the system) get the free Batman Gamepad carrying case from Gamestop? I don't have the system yet, but I'm wondering if the case just carries the gamepad or it and the system as well
 
I'm at my local walmart here in Puerto Rico which didn't participate in the layaway program. 8 wii u's arrived 4 deluxe and 4 basic. All the deluxe systems have owners, I am one of them and so far 1 person showed up after so theres 1 basic only picked up. SO FUCKING HYPED!!!!!

You get coins by playing and doing good in each attraction. You then use those coins in the plaza to get decorations and things. You play a plinko style game to get the decorations in forms of ? boxes. You then have to find them in the plaza and click on them.

I've gotten some decorations, a juke box which has it's own boxes for different songs, some switches, and the day/night button so far.
 
A miracle! I nabbed a ticket at best buy! I'm #6 so I should be good. I love the ticket system, it's a cold night here and it's far more enjoyable to wait the next two hours out at home, playing Paper Mario on 3DS :) (Which is fantastic, by the way!)

Now I can cancel my ore-order with Toys R Us online. Haven't been so happy avoiding doing business with a company in a while.

Yeah back when the 360 was being released, I waited in line and about an hour before they let us in they asked who wanted the Premium and who wanted Arcade in order of who was in line. They gave us each a folder with a ticket and once everyone got one we all went and sat in warm cars. lol.

This is what I thought when I saw it. "How U will play next" is odd. I get it. Like they mean "this is the Wii U and THIS is how U will play next, bish!" like they're straight up telling you.

How will U play next sounds more like a question and is nicer. =p
 
Has anyone mentioned buying anything yet on the eshop? I'm just wondering if it is tax free like on psn, although region may be a factor too.
 
Does anyone who ordered through Gamestop.com see a pending charge on their bank account, but that their order still shows as open and unshipped? Not sure what Gamestop is doing but it seems unlikely I'll see this thing on Monday (did 1 day shipping).

I'm going to guess it'll be the same as it is on 3DS, and in SoCal I'm not taxed. But then I have yet to see a single digital tax.

Had the pending charge about a week ago, and it shipped yesterday. I think you got unlucky. :/

hmmmm... worse comes to worst, I guess we can throw together an awful eShop game, "WUST Fighter 5", and sell it for $1 and then we'll all download it and congregate around this game that nobody will want to play but us.

I was just reflecting on the fact that I've had their customer service number memorized for more than 20 years now. The only other phone number I've known for longer than that is my parents' land line.. and they're about to give it up, which means that Nintendo's number would take the top spot.
 
My friend on line at Nintendo World got a Scribblenauts poster. He said they were giving away posters, but I don't know if they're all Scribblenauts. I'll see him tomorrow and take a pic of it.

I'm loving all of the incoming information, btw. It's still weird how Nintendo didn't reveal everything about the system, and how NoA revealed next to nothing. lol

They gave out Epic Mickey 2 ears earlier.
 
Is sing party any good, I wonder?

Trying to figure out the three games I want to grab at target in the morning. Trying to decide between:

NSMBU (definitely)
Scribblenauts
BLOPS 2
Sing Party
Rayman

Thoughts? Recommendations?

Any Canadians with a 3ds: have you been taxed? Either when buying the eshop card, or when making an eshop purchase? If so, have you tried changing your region?

Is target having a sale on wii u games or somthing tomorrow? I think toys r us has the buy 1 get 1 40% off, trying to decide where to get my games in the morning. Also just paid my deluxe system off!!!
 
Okay that's enough for me tonight. Food and then sleep so I get up tomorrow to get to the store early to pick up my system and just in case there is a line of some kind. Still need to decide if I'll stick with Black Ops 2 though.

Yes, Canada is charged tax. You can change your province to Alberta though, if you want to cheap it out.
 
got my BestBuy e-mail.

...but ZombieU was just about the only game that really interested me at launch. My enthusiasm is tanking the night before. I'm supposed to be excited right now. Instead I'm apathetic as shit.
