$300 is my limit. If they are more than that (they will be) then I'm sitting it out till either a very attractive bundle comes along, or until that price point is met.

After this generation of overheating PS3s and RRODs, I'll never buy a console at launch again unless it's $199 - $250 and there's some games I really want to play. At $299, I start to consider building a new computer.
IMHO, given the bad economy, increased competition from Android and iOS devices, and a hunch that the console market has shrunk this gen, I believe a $399+ launch price and $60 (they might be $70 this gen) games are going to be a HAAAAAARD fucking sell.

This for the PS4, actually more like $499 but depending on the offerings etc, I about ready to go week one.

Doubt I'll buy a console this generation. Between building a gaming pc, having a huge backlog from this generation, not having enough time to play what I have, and trying to be more responsible financially it doesn't make sense to me to spend much money on a console.
I can wait until prices drop and used games (granted that market exists for next gen) are cheap.

I'm not especially comfortable with spending more than $400 dollars, but I would probably go as high as $500 if they had something amazing. I won't be buying both at launch though, regardless.
Sony and Microsoft are going to have to fight each other hard for my dollar, and I hope it's a fucking bloodbath.

I'm really hyped for this new generation... I didn't even get a PS3 this gen and have been really happy with my 360 but this new one I'll probably get both.

If they raise the price of games above $59.99USD, I won't buy either console, until many years later. It is nice getting almost anything I want for the PS3 for $20 or half off on PSN titles in sales 
If they stay at current standard prices, or go to a better stratified pricing model (I can only dream), than I'd be willing to spend $400USD before taxes. Maybe $500 if it's a really spiffy SKU (or includes an interesting game). Will likely choose the PS4, but we'll see.
Another idea bopping around in my head, is that I'll stick to primarily PC gaming, along with my handhelds. Plus, I'll buy a WiiU if enough interesting stuff actually comes out and there's a price reduction or bundle at some point.
Either of these is what I'll probably do:
1) Build new PC within next year and a half. Buy WiiU upon price drop et al. Keep handheld gaming too.
2) Buy PS4 if price is not insane and it has 2+ good launch titles. Ignore PC's waning performance for as long as possible, and continue playing handhelds.

If I were to buy one at launch, I think my ceiling would be $399. Reasoning:

Personally I dont see it coming under $400, it'll be a big megaton if either Durango/Orbis meets this price without a severely crippling SKU.
