What about the power requirements of 32MB EDRAM? The GDDR5, despite being power hungry, resides on the motherboard and not on the processor die so its heat is easier to dissipate.

Yeah, I guess it's the EDRAM. Like I said, seems hell of an engineering cock-up to produce a weaker performing APU that also runs hotter to boot. MS must be kicking themselves.

there has been absolutely no "falling out" with Sony.

We are on great terms with them, as illustrated by us working on the Ratchet movie recently. We have had decade plus long relationships with the same people in their product development department and we enjoy working with those folks.

It's Sony's IP, along with Resistance, so they can do whatever they want with it. Insomniac not having a PS4 dev kit is hard to believe, but if not then they must have gone exclusive.

Well MS has been putting their first party to making dumb kinect games with Halo being the exception. I don't even know what load of talent the article is referring to since it's apparent Rare and Lionhead aren't what they used to be. I guess Turn 10 and 343 but we already know what they're working on.

Would be very surprised if Turn 10 couldn't pump out a forza game for Durango launch, would be hilariously bad management if true. Seems like MS may be reaping what they sowed last gen getting so comfortable relying on two franchises and some timed DLC.
