I need to make a decision whether or not to continue watching this show. Will the starks fight back in any way shape or form?
I'm waiting for Robs vengeance, this show is pummelling viewers who expect some form of satisfaction for the Starks.
Last episode put me right off, that pregnant lady, mother seeing her son butchered then the mother is killed... it's not good viewing. Didn't like it one bit.
I really hope it doesn't end with the Starks having a happy ending. That would be too much of a fairytale ending which wouldn't fit the series at all. As in real life, the good guys don't always win (actually most of the time they don't) so I hope this story ends that way too.
Holy hell I just remembered.
EPISODE 1.
Remember how the Starks come across the Direwolves?
The mother wolf is dead. The baby wolves are parentless. The pack is torn apart.
The Stark family being torn apart was telegraphed from the beginning.
But I believe this story will belong to the Stark children more than anyone else.
All the baby direwolves were together though except for Ghost.
Bonus! Remember what killed the mother direwolf? What part of what animal? Jog your memory!Holy hell I just remembered.

Three of them are dead. A happy ending for that family isn't even possible anymore.
Well yeah, they start together, but get torn apart.
Still, the symbolism of the dead mother is now obvious.
And Ghost is a symbol of Jon being the outcast, of course.
SANSA
Don't count the Starks out.
Call me crazy, but I still think the end will be a time for wolves.
Haha, holy shit. These are killing me.Had to feel sorry for Ygritte when Jon left her.

I think it depends on how much time skips by, Arya could very well end up killing a ton of people, and Sansa may finally stop being so naive. Bran has the power to control minds and Jon could help against the Wildling and/or White Walker invasion.
Yup! Dat foreshadowing from 2 books/seasons ago!My friend told me that that was actually why everyone was so wary in that scene. I remember being like "okay? So two animals fought. You don't see this every day?"
Had to feel sorry for Ygritte when Jon left her.

Not book shit dude, show shit. Jamie has been in captivity from like the end of S1 or beginning of S2, can't remember. He can't possibly have had a role in planning the Red Wedding, they didn't let him use his iPhone to call home.Dude haven't you read the books?
Don't keep doing this shit. People have got banned for less.
We don't need you to tell us what level of involvement people have had in the wedding. The show will tell us next week. And though I'm sure this will shock you, WE'D RATHER FIND OUT FROM THE SHOW THAN FROM YOU.
Jesus fucking Christ.
Had to feel sorry for Ygritte when Jon left her.

Anyone else got a tear in their eye when the credits rolled? It was more from shock rather than sadness lol.
Anyway this might be a stupid question but where is Jon Snow's Wolf?
He's an utter prick, but you saw the bath scene. He's got a heart of gold, he's just massively in denial about it.
The next bright star to bring up the books in here is getting punted for a good long while.
Team Stannis represent!!

Edit: also I'm sensing a jealous tragedy later on with the dragon ladies "boyfriends".![]()
To me it's the case of living as the king slayer all his life, that has had a huge effect on his life. I believe he let this negative image get to him and it became part of his character, this character has led him to making some questionable moral choices, like pushing a boy out of a window to protect his sister. But deep down he's not an evil person, just a person tainted by a hard life.FFS.
Jamie Lannister does NOT have a heart of gold.
Jesus. A scene in the bathtub about something that may have happened in Kings Landing and everyone's all up ons. I'm not saying I hate the guy, but "heart of gold" is really stretching it.
Somewhere north of the wall. It couldn't climb with him.
And me...Book readers in this thread are awesome as long as they-
a)Don't talk about plot speculation or 'clarify' things at all.
me said:I think this is key. It's okay for the show watchers to get things wrong. Let it iron itself out.
He's somewhere beyond The Wall.Anyway this might be a stupid question but where is Jon Snow's Wolf?
But it's Team Melisandre. Her whole spiel about the lamb & the blade leads me to believe Stannis is just a pawn in her and the one true God's master plan.

Ah yes! thanks.
Wasn't Ghost with Sam?

Edit: I was too slow...
it probably has something to do with the mother of dragons doing it. Not doing it like full on white eyes, but she seems to be able to tell them what to do and who to attack almost like its a minds are synched type of thing.
so if someone can tell them what to do without saying a word, maybe bran can actually lock into it because after all they are just animals like wolves....and hodor lol
And the way Brienne address him as Ser Jaime as she says goodbye to him at Harrenhal. The look on his face, that hit him hard. I mean for the longest time people are taunting him as "Kingslayer", even Brienne. But for the time they spent together, I think she sees some good in him. And redemption isn't unattainable for someone like Jaime.
George R. R. Martin said:As the author of the popular Song Of Ice And Fire series of fantasy novels, it has been a pleasure and a joy to watch Game Of Thrones, HBO’s riveting television adaptation of my work. Every week, the show delights viewers, myself included, with a series of stirring performances, deftly maneuvered feats of visual storytelling, and eye-popping special effects. It truly is a joy to watch my novels—my life’s work—come to life on the screen, rendered with tact, faithfulness, and considerable filmmaking skill.
That being said, HOLY FUCKING SHIT. I totally forgot that whole thing about the Red Wedding! Christ almighty, talk about a punch in the goddamned gut. I must have been sitting there for 20 minutes afterwards just completely numb with disbelief, like, “What the hell did I just watch?”

And here I was sitting on my couch like a child thinking about how sweet it was that Talisa wanted to name the baby after Ned Stark, and how emotional it would be in two minutes when Robb finally met up with Arya, who was right outside the whole time. I was looking forward to that scene for three whole episodes! I was 100 percent sure I had written it, too. I mean, who doesnt want Arya to reunite with her family?
