So when I get my new iPad tomorrow (So slow!) what's the best way to get it updated with all my stuff? I also need to wipe this iPad for my wife and get her started.

Backup to iCloud/iTunes (if iTunes, make sure you have all your apps on the PC too).
Restore your new iPad with that backup.
Once done, wipe your old iPad.

As Tunesmith said.
I did that several times (iCloud)...always worked flawlessly.

iCloud vs iTunes, does it matter? I know I have a couple of apps which are no longer on the store, will I lose them?

I hate iTunes so since iCloud I always used that.
One thing I like over the iTunes sync is that after like 1 minute you can start using the device with your contacts and such while it downloads the apps.
I do not know about lost apps tough.

Syncing with iCloud, you will lose your pulled apps unless you back them up to your PC first. An iCloud sync just tells your device to download the apps from the app store, and if they don't exist on the app store anymore they can't be downloaded.

I'm hoping maybe someone in here can help? I need a gift code for the Canada app store for Tanto Cuore. I can't buy one because my account is in the US. If someone can get me a code I can Paypal you the cost. Please? :)

You wouldn't be able to redeem it on your US account, you'd still need to create a Canadian account to use it.

Can do that with iTunes syncing too. It's only the restore bit that requires a USB connection.
I prefer using iTunes for restoring to a new device as that's much much faster than re-downloading apps from the app store, and it retains pulled apps ofc.

The latest update to IB III which was supposed to fix the ipad air retina bug crashes the app instantly on launch now. Well that's just great!

I just backed up and synced my old iPad to my iTunes. When I get the one should I also de-authorize off my account? I have a bunch of machines (4) authorized. Or does it not matter because it is account specific and not device?

I hate keeping 32/64GB of my MacBook Pro's tiny hard disk for that tho :(

That doesn't matter. Just plug your new iPad in, and restore from back up. After the restore it will ask you for a whole bunch of password (iCloud, Apple ID, various emails, etc.)

Sorcery 2 is an insta-buy for me at 11pm est. They seem to be releasing the series at a decent pace.

For a quick Rayman review, it is very much more of the same but bigger and better in terms of content.

I think it is important to note, that while Rayman Jungle Run was great on devices like an iphone 4, you are out of luck this time. Levels often run on multiple planes which is a nice effect, but the framerate is killed as a result.

If you have an old device, you should probably give it a miss.

Sorcery part 2
Rayman Fiesta Run (https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/id657811530?mt=8)
Lego Lord of the rings

all seem to be up for Australia at least.

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies is as well now. AU$5.49

Edit: I get that they went with the premium pricing in comparison to the first one, and complaints about structure / confusion et al... but am I the only one who thought the game was pretty average? Started seeing the same missions within half an hour, and it was all just rinse, repeat.

I'll update the OP with stuffs (Sorc2, Rayman at the very least!) later today.

Don't have to do any of that unless you change your PC.

Use a USB network drive! I keep the Mobile Applications part of my iTunes library on an external for this reason (the rest is on my SSD).

I personally avoid all that password annoyances by using an encrypted backup, then you only have to put in one password.

Tiny Death Star crashes whenever I try to fill the last job slot on my second commercial floor, doesn't matter if I do it from the floor itself, the residence or through the menu. :/

edit: the Emperor mission didn't register either after the recreation floor finished construction. Bugs ahoy!!

edit 2: started from zero by reinstalling the game and didn't get any of the above. Hope it stays this way.

edit 3: nope, still getting crashes while trying to fill certain job slots. Fuck this, I'll wait for an update. :(

Does anyone know if Sorcery! (first chapter or the second one just released) support iCloud sync between devices?

Sword & Sworcery is not working properly on my ipad air. seems the touch controls are not calibrated right. anyone else having this problem?

Tiny Death Star's music and sound effects are so amazing. I'm quickly finding out that I don't miss Tiny Tower's gameplay, however.

Ah, Rayman and Tiny Death Star. Of course I leave my phone at home on a day like this!

Also, as of last night Terraria now has WIFI multiplayer.

What's New in Version 1.1.4 said:
- NOW WITH MULTIPLAYER! Wi-fi games support up to 4 players! Play Terraria with friends across any other mobile devices! Adventure together or duel each other in player-vs-player combat!

- DROP ITEMS: Touch and drag items in your Inventory Bar to drop them into the world.

- PVP & TEAMS: Toggle your PvP mode and choose your team color in the Pause Menu.

I tried to find a game last night, but after a couple minutes I didn't get a response. The update had just launched, though.

That blurb sounds to me like they added -local- multiplayer, not online.

I wanted to give Pathogen a mention. It looks really well done but I think it may get lost in the shuffle this week.

Inspired by the way an infection spreads through the human body, players seek to control a map through placing viruses that are upgraded to expand to adjacent cells and convert enemy viruses.

Designed with the classic board game experience in mind, Pathogen brings mechanics and play styles of classics like Chess and Go to a whole new level.

•Unique art and strategic gameplay inspired by the way viruses spread through the human body
•Extensive Single Player Campaign
•Local and Online Multiplayer (2-4 players)
•Many play modes and map styles, with a robust map editor to create and share your own
•No IAP and no additional costs – buy the complete game and enjoy!
•Easy to Play, Hard to Master: intuitive visual mechanics make Pathogen simple for anyone to pick up and play, while higher difficulty settings and deeper player vs. player strategic options offer challenges for experienced strategy gamers.
•Optimized for iOS 7 and Retina Display

I'm kind of weird and private on online game things but I'm a +1 to iPad Air owners (as of last night) if that means anything. Still trying to figure out if anything went missing in the jump - I'm not sure but I think I lost a few songs in taiko no tatsujin + T_T

In regards to keeping a record of people's devices. It's mostly a fun metric and to give people an idea of others with similar devices that they can add to friends for game matchups. That was more of an 'issue' in the early days of iOS when games weren't generally universal.

Giving up device details is not a requirement to be on the iOS GAF list though, not at all. :)

Tiny Death Star impressions
It's a pixel-based Death Star tamagotchi on your iOS device basically, like Tiny Tower before it, you'll spend more time tending to your construction than actively 'playing' this game and that's perfectly fine. It's riddled with Star Wars-infused humour and tidbits that both Tiny Tower and Star Wars fans alike will love. Nimblebit strikes a really nice balance, you'll play it for weeks a few minutes a day. It's free to play, but the IAPs are never forced and you'll be able to 'complete' it in a few weeks without spending a dime.

Rayman Fiesta Run impressions
Rayman Jungle Run was the best 'runner' game on iOS... Rayman Fiesta Run is now the best 'runner' game on iOS. Also, calling it a runner game is a great disservice as it's so so much more than that, it's platforming/racing bliss on iOS. This is what Sonic dreams of. GET THIS!

Sorcery! 2 impressions
Sorcery! is a four-part epic adventure, I haven't played part 2 yet but part 1 was some of the finest make-your-own-adventure fused with table-top roleplay gaming I've ever had and I expect nothing less from this one. A masterful adaptation of the Sorcery! gamebook series from the 1980's.

Does the in-game timer seem off to anyone else in Tiny Death Star?

For example: the Cafe that I started with takes only a minute to stock the cheapest item. Sometimes it takes an actual minute to stock, but other times it stocks almost immediately, and sometimes it takes half a minute or so... just completely random amounts of time.

Similarly, I've had floors with items that are supposed to take (for example) ten minutes to stock, but it takes noticeably longer. I need to actually time it.

Also, I don't get what the Imperial floors are for. I have an Interrogation room - the game forces you to build it early on - and when I get a supply VIP they spend ten minutes "making" Rebel Secrets, but I have no idea what those do.

I can only buy so many games at once. :P
Awaiting impressions on Meltdown and Pathogen, both look like OP worthy to me.
Also this??? :O Drei by Etter Launch Trailer It's an online collaborative tower building game..

Seems fine for me. The Imperial floors are basically extra floors that make items needed for missions. I recommend not creating many of these until you have a significant amount of regular floors as these do not bring in income other than the mission rewards but they inflate the floor construction cost like other floors do.
