007: Everything or Nothing - One of the greatest games on PS2/Gamecube

My friend threw it away unknowingly (it was in a plastic bag he was carrying and he forgot it was there) and I was so pissed. I was on the final level and everything. Also remember it had awesome co-op levels.

I had it on Xbox and remember enjoying it apart from the garbage motorbike sections. The co-op mode was fun too.

Great game, one of the best, which I played on PS2 and the best Bond game I've ever played. I'm still collecting my PS2 library titles and EoN is my most wanted at this moment.

Nightfire to me is still the best bond game, and my favorite MP shooter on the PS2/Gamecube. I think it's better than Goldeneye.

Yep got to agree with this. I even found from russia with love and agent under fire more enjoyable.

Yeah same with FRWL and AUF.

YES. Great fucking game. Did a great job with the license too, it really felt authentic (as far as Brosnan Bond movies go).

I love Pokken!
Greatest Bond game after Goldeneye

Come on son.

Nightfire is great, but I don't like Bond as a fps. EoN took some new chances with the franchise and could provide more variety in gameplay than a fps can.

What we said when we were making it is, "Ya gotta see Bond to be Bond."

As for it being an early example of a cover shooter, absolutely. When we were making it we looked at WinBack originally then a bit farther along in development with maybe 8 months left Kill Switch from Namco came out. We were definitely inspired by that and thought we were going in the right direction.

Some of my favorite parts were the urban legend scripting stuff we put in. As an example on the level Vertigo if I remember correctly you got a Bond moment for driving the spider bomb through a little course and blowing a couple guys up in a control room. If you did this and re-played the level there is a guy boarding up the hole the next time. We put in a few of these into the game, I loved working on it.

The AI for this game was also very fun to work on with throwing weapons, melee, passing weapons between guys, using environment objects as weapons, etc... Had a ton of fun on it.

No love for the Xbox? It was the best version of all.

Freakin' fantastic game.

My favorite 007 title to date.
Sorry, GoldenEye (N64).

This game, along with The Warriors, are games that they should have got working on the backwards compatibility mode. But nope.

I forgot about Agent Under Fire. I had a lot of fun with that one GameCube. Never played Nightfire though.

This game was awesome. The game play was top notch, and it was released 10 years ago holy shit. So many memorable moments as well, driving the Aston Martin in the street of New Orleans, fighting Platinum tanks in the Red square , and that awesome looking mechanical spider. Good times

Godfather, Scarface: The World Is Yours, Gta IV & V, and Red Dead Redemption all had movable lock-on aiming systems. Scarface is the best, since the pointer moves really fast and you get "Balls" points for blasting people in different body parts so you're just wiggling the stick like a madman putting holes in a motherfucker as the game cheers you on (Liver! Right Kidney! Heart! Left Nut!)

I loved this game, especially the co-op with my brother. I think I remember the competitive being really terrible though.

Scarface was great. Doing the drug runs and getting chainsawed at the drive in with over a couple millions of cocaine on you is an unforgettable terrible experience. ):

Thank you for this great game. The melee was especially fun with the AI. I loved playing the survivor stage in this kind of simulation mode with the remix of the main theme playing in the background.

Really well made game. One of the best Bond games I own. Another overlooked Bond game is Quantum of Solace on the PS2. This is a different game than the one made for PC/PS3/360. The game was Third Person all the time, not just in cutscenes, with wholly separate level design and mechanics. They both start at Mr White's villa and at that point the similarities end for the most part. It does follow the QoS movie somewhat but it is definitely the best of the platforms for that game. I do recommend Bond fans ignore the other versions and pick up the PS2 version.

What does that mean exactly?

It means the front end and 3p part of the game were in one program, and the driving stuff was in a different program. They used the OS to switch between them. This isn't something that many games did after PS1 (although a few have) which explains why they wouldn't bother supporting it.

Interesting, reminds me of some of the weird tricks that Naughty Dog did with the Jak games on PS2.

And yeah, I recall the AI being quite impressive back when I played it. So many cool details, like trying to steal your guns if you drop them.

Ugh what a fantastic game. Spent many a year on it. Same with AUF and Nightfire tbh. Nightfire still had the best multiplayer though. I still play that on my GameCube from time to time.

Goddamn, such a great game. Last gen was great for Bond game. Now the question is do I dust off my PS2 or the Wii. If only the Wii U had GC BC.

Might just emulate it on PC, just pop the disks in there

I loved this, From Russia With Love, and Nightfire on the gamecube!

Ahh the memories, it was one of the last and few really great Bond games.

It also had Jaws! Jaws is my favorite Bond villain just because he is so ridiculous.

I remember playing it in '07-'08 while I was catching up on last-gen games that I had missed. I was thoroughly impressed at the time by the shooting and cover mechanics, as well as the mission variety. I was shocked that it was completely off my radar when it came out (though '04-'06 was a lull period for me). I'm gonna have to break out my GameCube copy and hook up my mothballed Wii sometime this month.

Gen X

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
Even with all my EA hate at the time I put my differences aside to enjoy this gem. Definitely one of my fav tps. Shame licensing will prevent this from getting a HD re-release.

Best Bond game I've played, followed by Bloodstone. I replayed this game endlessly. Great controls, story and graphics.

Bought this game yesterday because of this thread and it showed up today thanks to an unusually quick Amazon seller. It's amazing how nostalgic this game can make me feel even though I've never played it before. I'm doing stuff haven't done in games for years - like backtrack to find a healthpack I didn't need when I first passed through, or kill myself because I ran out of ammo during a boss fight.

At the same time it feels surprisingly modern, since I'm still pulling left trigger to aim and right trigger to shoot. I'm definitely going to keep playing.

Oh, and the box says it supports GC to GBA connectivity? What would that have gotten me?

just bought this and night fire for the OG Xbox thanks to the thread

loving from Russia with love and with the delays of current gen games why not enjoy some classics?

I'm glad so many people also think this game is amazing! I still have it for the GameCube, and now I want to play it again!
