Dude, hit up the demo before making up your mind. I thought it was pretty horrible. Saved me 20 bucks.

The demo isn't the new version of the game though I think. It's still original Ego Draconis with the old engine/bugs etc.

It's solid. Detects a wired 360 pad fine and looks gorgeous as hell at 1080p/60 fps.

The more action-oriented combat system is definitely appealing and it looks great but the lack of consequences for dialogue choices (according to the video review I linked to) sounds kind of puzzling. I'd give it a shot if not for SecuROM and limited activations.

That's the only demo, and it's pretty recent. Came out in December if I'm not mistaken. It does have that Euro feel though. Requires tweaking or you get pretty meh performance.

I do like what I see, but I'm just gonna wait till it's cheaper.

Funniest moment in the game was talking to a guy freaking out about his soul bound to a chicken (meaning if the chicken dies he will also) while I had an enchantment to harm anything that touched me. So while we're talking and he's getting progressively more freaking out, the flock of chickens keep running into me and dying, over and over until there's only a couple left. Never laughed so hard at a videogame.
