The problem was Lakers went to Pau, not Kobe. They were up 5 and went to Pau twice. Kobe didn't even get the ball the last 3 real possessions.

But the real problem was the defense. Pau left Dirk wide open. Then LO left Peja. Then Terry got open.

But even still, Dallas has shot well over their heads in this series. Peja, Terry, and Dirk go 5/5 from 3 in the 4th. Miss 1 of those for fuck sake.

I've been a Mavs fan for a very long time, and they are playing at a level and competitiveness I haven't seen them do before. They look damned good and never give up. I love it. LOVE IT.

Defense was terrible, agreed. Dallas was not even shooting that well outside of Dirk, but the Lakers still couldn't take care of business.

Pau was in terrible position when he received the ball all night too. Even when Bynum touched the ball outside the paint, he'd pass back out and roll to the basket. Gasol is just totally out of it.

Dude dosent matter at all when a team has wide open 3's all day. There isn't an excuse to be Made mavs clearly are the hungrier team hitting on all cylinders. Lakers look slow and tired, we had a good run.

Of course, if the Lakers didn't choke it away in the last three on offense either, it wouldn't have mattered with their 7 point lead. They couldn't make buckets, Pau was useless, Kobe took the ball a few times at the top of the key and did nothing, but jack up horrible shots. Where was Bynum? He's their only go-to weapon right now, and Dallas can't guard him at all.

To commemorate the Lakers most recent Championship run, I will be rocking my Kobe/Pau avatar. Every Championship team runs out of gas eventually and our time was now.

It was a damn fun ride and I loved every bit of it.
