Yeah, "god" is sure pulling all stops for the Lakers by having them lose to the Heat on the same day? Then again, "god" works in mysterious ways.

morale victory if they get slaughtered in the playoffs?
is that your end goal this season?

You don't understand the kind of trolling that will rain down on this team if they miss the playoffs. Kobe and Nash don't deserve the stain on their careers lol

Also if we somehow get the Clippers, we can beat them

Aren't you more worried that the Jazz have been without Mo Williams and G-TYME for this long and we've still been winning games? I think the Jazz are much more likely to get healthy than the Lakers are. Dwight is going to battle problems all year, and so is Pau. Kobe always ends up with some sort of nagging injury that affects his play too. I really can't see how the Lakers are going to get into the playoffs.

Also, the Lakers have already lost some tiebreaker situations in the West with their slow start.

Sloan will coach if it's the right situation and it has the pieces in place to contend within the next few years. He doesn't want to rebuild a team at his age, he's said that's why he left the Jazz. When it was clear that Deron was gone and that Kirilenko had one foot out the door, Sloan didn't want any part of that.

so should Tony Parker win MVP since he's scoring 20 ppg on over 53% shooting and the Spurs will probably finish with the best record in the league with Tim Duncan missing a bunch of games and Manu being more or less a role player

It's surprising that he's usually left out of the conversation. He's playing very well. But I guess that's because CP3 overshadows him so much.

speaking of MVP, ESPN is running a poll about who the early mvp is, the choices were LeBron or someone else. The results so far have lebron at 66%, the only state that has someone else over LBJ is, unsurprisingly, OKC.

Not when Lebron is playing 2k13 with sliders at 100%
