Miller also dismissed the racial tensions of the 1960s, when she said she graduated from high school. “Growing up as a kid, there was no racism, believe me. We were just all kids going to school.”
Cheerful reminder that this week is the anniversary of the integration of Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas.

But that happened in 1957, so maybe she's right after all.

Maybe not.

I always thought it was odd that more people weren't outraged after Obama declared his intention to travel back in time and start the North Atlantic slave trade.

Today is also the anniversary of the start of the 1906 Atlanta Race Riots in which a large group of white males descended upon the minority area of Five Points and beat a large number of black people to death on the streets.

But this didn't actually happen right? Racism didn't exist then?

I wonder what it's going to be like a decade from now, with Republicans just now almost completely down the rabbit hole of making up their own version of reality that has no basis in facts or evidence. We're just scratching the surface.

When it was pointed out that some people might find her remarks offensive, Miller replied: “I don’t care, it’s the truth.”

The modern racist: I can't be racist, what I'm saying is true!

Making up lies about non-whites, why, that's racist. But sincerely believing lies about non-whites, that's fine!

Americans have allowed to many racist idiots be in positions of power. We need to remove them so we can actually move forward as a country.

I'm sure we'll all find out when the textbooks are printed.

What exactly does a campaign chair do, and how does someone get the position though they have never read a book, a newspaper, watched a single second of any news show, been on the internet, or ever had a conversation with anyone not living under the same rock as them?

No racism in the 1960s. Amazing.

side note OP: I love your avatar, that's one of my favorite ASOIAF/Game Of Thrones art pieces. All hail Ned Dayne.

Can't you sue for defamation of character?

Could something be done about denying civil rights movement?

I just don't understand how somebody in a position of power can get away with such bullshit and not forced to resign or worse.

The full video has more. After interview, she tells him to drop the racism topic because “it’s of no consequence.”

Then, this exchange (slight paraphrasing):

Trump Campaign Chair: “if people have jobs and go to work and do what they’re supposed to do, there’s no racism”

Reporter: “a lot of black people might disagree with that”

Trump Campaign Chair: “it’s because they’re not going to work”

Reporter: “I think people might find what you’re saying to be a bit offensive”

Trump Campaign Chair: “I don’t care it’s the truth”

I don't know how you can be this out of touch with reality, but it seems like she doesn't even understand what racism is. Some of those quotes make more sense if you replace "racism" with "black people".
