Please upload videos, in 4Kjust tried it with PSSR, it looks good, but I can't tell them apart.
My friend's 3600 + 2060 included I'm sure!I dont think that PSSR could do that. The PC version is leagues ahead of the consoles. At least with NVIDIA cards.

edit: It does look a bit sharper with PSSR, i don't see the usual artifacts with PSSR, so it looks to be a good implementation it looks like.
Balanced mode, looks very sharp and clean. no artifacts that i can tell. What graphics mode are you using? I'll have to try this tonight.
lolPlease upload videos, in 4K
Could you post a few comparison shots in each mode? With PSSR on balanced mode, looks clean.![]()

Preach. Can you take the day off work to compare every mode for every version of the game pre and post patch and upload all the videos in 4k and clearly explain it all in the first minute of the videos and then stop talking so we can hear the game audio and then not monetize any of it so I don't see any ads?
Why are people laughing at my simple ask?
yeah it's not a major difference, i think it's more for pixel peeping from Digital Foundry and not something clearly as visible. I'm assuming it will be turned ON by default on new games so that's their preference I assumei cant tell the difference on balanced mode on pro with pssr and i put. in 50+ hrs already, how about you guys?
It depends what they did. If you cannot tell the difference and they lowered the base resolution but added PSSR+Reflections, then PSSR's job is done. You keep the same IQ and performance, but you get RT reflections.i cant tell the difference on balanced mode on pro with pssr and i put. in 50+ hrs already, how about you guys?
It will if they lowered the internal resolution, yes.Won't pssr help with performance, especially for Balanced mode with the added rt specular whatever it is?
But isn't the addition of RT reflections in balanced mode independent of PSSR? That is, are RT reflections also present when using TAAU?It depends what they did. so people can see what PSSR is doingPSSR is a toggle. I want to understand why TAAU is still offered as an option if PSSR is supposed to be objectively better.
...and to avoid the "buh mah options!" posts.so people can see what PSSR is doing
Anyone actually jumped into the game on the Pro yet? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the PSSR implementation specifically in the performance mode.

Have you checked 4000% zoom in though?Looks good image seems stable and improved over prior PSSR implementations.
It's supposed to add the missing rt reflections from quality mode so I'm not sure if this is a troll or genuine impression of the update.i cant tell the difference on balanced mode on pro with pssr and i put. in 50+ hrs already, how about you guys?
Yes.But isn't the addition of RT reflections in balanced mode independent of PSSR? That is, are RT reflections also present when using TAAU?
That's a dev decision. ND also leaves a bunch of old modes in Uncharted and TLOU on the Pro. Maybe because they want to let people compare? I dunno.PSSR is a toggle. I want to understand why TAAU is still offered as an option if PSSR is supposed to be objectively better. Perhaps the frame rate is more stable with TAAU?
checked balanced, honestly difficult to tell the difference, far away stuff (like distant mountains) still shimmers pssr on or off.i cant tell the difference on balanced mode on pro with pssr and i put. in 50+ hrs already, how about you guys?
Yes.

I suppose a DF analysis would shed more light.Maybe because they want to let people compare? I dunno.
Tried to get 60 fps on PC last night. Been playing at 30 fps at 4k DLSS Quality, literally every setting maxed out and only have to switch to Balanced when it starts raining really heavily during some big battles. Mostly 80-90% GPU utilization at 4k dlss quality.
Changed to DLSS performance, got up to 44 fps. Not bad. Started changing settings down from ultra to very high. Nothing. Down to high, and got as high as 50 fps and constant drops to mid 40s when galloping or going through cities.
No matter what I do, i cant shake that mid 40s barrier. I dont want to play at medium. So im just going back to 30 fps until 5080s become affordable again.
yep. Could also be my CPU but gpu utilization always maxes out in cities so maybe its just my GPU.You have a 3080 currently, right?
Couple of comparison shots. Just comparing the modes as I play them (TAA Quality on PC vs PSSR Performance on Pro). Keep in mind, I'm getting 80+fps on PC with TAA Quality
I'm not very good at this kind of thing, but....best I could do.
I'll try to get more shots with other modes tonight.
Leagues? im playing on PC right now and its not leagues. Especially when the PS5 pro literally has both RTGI and RT reflections, hair physics, same destruction, same weather, same shadows. Same everything. This aint no Indiana Jones or Cyberpunk situation.I dont think that PSSR could do that. The PC version is leagues ahead of the consoles. At least with NVIDIA cards.
Here yall go, here's your game. It's getting an upgrade, lol.

Complaining must be fun for people. There is nothing objectionable here.
Unfortunately that's an intentional choice unlike the hideout which was reported as a bug. I don't see that one changing.Cutscenes and Conversations are still 30fps
On PC, you can see much more sharpness and detail in assets and elements of the scene... But the difference may have a lot to do with the quality of those assets/LOD and draw distance (the graphics in performance mode in PRO suffered a lot of cuts and the base resolution was low) than with the type of AA or rescaling.
Maybe other modes comparasion can help more.
So hard to upload a video in 2025...thanks, I guess. With PSSR on balanced mode, looks clean.![]()
