Alan Wake 2 hands-on preview

Really want to see performance views about console. I'm sure PC will great, but that console port…..wish this had a 40fps mode.

My Epic launcher is stacked and ready to go! Just brought a brand new 48 inch OLED LG Ultra Gear monitor for this bad boy. At 500 pounderooinies I couldn't say no!

Received that this week :messenger_beaming: Nothing crazy but a nice attention!

I can't believe this is happening. It is almost like Shenmue III, I never thought it would happen. Alan Wake wasn't pushed on Xbox (hello MS and their management of their exclusives), I remember that NOBODY heard about that game even though the 360 was very popular (the only time an Xbox was popular) but it was like MS was trying to hide its existence.

The fact that it didn't sell was very sad and I never thought we could have Alan Wale II.

Everybody who wished this day would happen, get that game on day 1, show them we love AW ! Stay A.Wake !

I thought it was very clear it was getting sequel, especially after The Signal and The Writer DLC.

"If we make an excellent game - and that's a massive investment - we would like to preserve the possibility that we can then continue those stories in future games as well. With Alan Wake and Quantum Break, that didn't work," Remedy Entertainment CEO Tero Virtala told

Also there were many people saying that MS owned the IP, preventing Remedy to make a sequel, since their relation after Quantum Break seemed quite bad we didn't imagine a sequel would happen.

Okay now I get what you are saying, in that sense I agree with you.

I really wanna be excited for this game.

I just could never get through the first game. The loop of shine and shoot just never went anywhere.
I mean, that's shooters for you. You shoot things.

I'd argue Remedy have done more than most to try and shake up the formula.

To me I actually like the light mechanic but my problem was very low enemy variety, you mostly fighting same boring group of enemies over and over again.

Also some enemy was just down right annoying to fight like the ones that are fast runners, you basically have wait until they stop so you can shine light on them and repeat this until their shadow barrier is broke so you finally shoot them.
Its not challenging fight its just boring and time consuming.

Man that's juicy.

Still hesitant whether to preoder now or wait release day to be sure performance is ok
If you're planning on getting this on console then best to wait for the DF tech review as it will go up 1 day before the game's official release. At least that's what I'll do.
