Amusement park ride in India breaks and falls 150 feet (video)

This shit grinds my gears. Even if someone said "oh it's just the cover", you're exposing the rebar to the elements, weakening it in a few years. On a skyscrapper.

Their steel is shit also, i asked once to evaluate a beam to no one's shock, what was supposed to have a 275 MPa resistance, didn't even get to 235 Mpa, which is the minimum we use here....

WTF, that's insane.

Yeah see this is why I never go to amusement parks outside of the US and even then I only go to the ones that cost an arm and a leg to get into. That way I know there are at least a variety of safety codes and incentives in place.

Going to a place like that outside of the US where safety is the goal, but maintenance is more of an idea? No. Fucking. Thanks.
I thought these accidents were just happening in a few areas but it's more widespread than I thought regardless of safety standards. Many of these parks really do value money over safety sadly.

“Aww, it’s so...average,” she said to him in a cold brick of passion

Yeah but if you look at the dates of the ones in the US they are fairly spread out. Meanwhile you hear about these things happening at foreign parks all the time.

That's just a link showing some of the terrible ones that happened throughout the world. Don't be under the illusion that all the US parks are safer than those in other countries. Point is that do your due diligence before riding.

There was a place here called Funderland.

I was fine with heights. Now climbing a ladder. It's brutal. Vertical drop. Don't do it kids. Such a stupid ride. The speed it drops, not a thrill.

Jelly legs.

I'd probably do it again. Just not there.

Seeing the city from a height was cool though.
