lol budget phone camera placement. Hold that L, "Apple".
I mean, he was talking about the FRONT cam, but still. Not sure I've ever had a phone that had a centered front cam.

Already mentioned, Sony doesn't support Camera2api
Dat premium camera placement

Dat headphone jack on the top middle tho
I think we've all learned today the centre everything is premium, even front facing camera.
It's 2015 and people are still putting the headphone jack on top of the phone instead of the bottom so
AKA the correct placement so my phone isn't upside down in my pocket.
When the phone is upside down in your pocket, it's right side up after pulling it out.
It's right side up anyway, but I grasp the back of my phone out of my pocket.
It's all moot anyway. Should start packing in bluetooth headphones and then no-one cares where the port is!
No thanks. Bluetooth is shit quality. Bottom port is the correct placement.
I guess this is the thread for asking for phone recommendations. I'm currently sporting an HTC One M7 that has major battery life issues in its old age.
I'm thinking about going to the HTC One M9 or maybe switching back to Apple and getting an Iphone 6. My music collection is all tied up in itunes and all the music options from itunes to android tend to all suck. Thats just to get me down to carrying one device instead of two.
My current phone usage is 50% games, 20% web browsing, 20% video sites, and 5% texting. Maybe 5% talking on the phone.
I don't want a bigger phone. Is there a better phone than the M9 for my usage?

T-Mobile S6 will work on ATT right? It's cheaper so I figure why buy ATT...
Why is it that the average XDA poster is one step above functionally braindead?
if you choose an M9 over an iphone 6...just....no.I guess this is the thread for asking for phone recommendations. I'm currently sporting an HTC One M7 that has major battery life issues in its old age.

Found a fix for the broken video in Snapchat on the S6.
Enable developer options, and uncheck "Use NuPlayer (experimental)". This is apparently some new video playback feature Sammy is playing with, and it's jank central.

My Verizon Wireless G3 is installing the OTA update right this very minute. It's about time!
YMMV but I did a factory reset after I installed on my AT&T version. That seemed to steer me clear of all of the issues that usually get reported with this type of thing.
Testing a full normal day of normal use. 58% after 6hr30min with 1hr3min SoT. On Wifi for all but one hour. VoLTE on. Cell standby at 12%, by far the most used.
Tomorrow I'll turn VoLTE off and see how it fares.
Not very good. Definitely turn it off and try to use the phone a similar amount for accuracy.Testing a full normal day of normal use. 58% after 6hr30min with 1hr3min SoT. On Wifi for all but one hour. VoLTE on. Cell standby at 12%, by far the most used.

how does one turn that off? or do I have to wipe the phone to do that?
On AT&T it's called Enhanced 4G LTE Services, under Mobile Data in Settings. Simultaneous voice and data still works with it off, but you'll be on HSPA+ when in a call.On verizon, it's called Advance Calling, and it's right on the top of the settings menu. AT&T has a different name for it, and I think T-Mo calls it Wifi Calling. No wipe necessary, it just kills simultaneous voice and data functionality.
AT&T calls it HD Voice; Honestly I couldn't tell a difference when I had it on.
Well he's not talking about S6 battery life since he wouldn't be caught dead using a piece of shit as a phone.A difference in what?

My Nexus 6 still can't make it through a hard day. All I want is a phone that doesn't cause battery anxiety. Just one day of hard use. That's all I want. After like a decade of modern smart phones, come on.
doesn't that massive fucker have a 3000mah battery in there? Well the screen is huge but still. My Nexus 6 still can't make it through a hard day. Note 4, Droid Turbo/Maxx.

My Z3 took a pretty rough hit with Lollipop I may get a max of 4 hours on 1 and 1/2 days. Those are all massive phones, there should be one around 5" that can get through a heavy day no issues. I guess the Z3/Z3C are those phones, but there should be more.

Great choice. Everyone should try both OSes. And by try, I mean use for an extended time that isn't "my friend has one."I have to disappoint Android-GAF, bought an iPhone 6 today.
And hey, I really like it so far. The screen is surprisingly good! Was a bit worried about the resolution. Battery life wont be as good as it was on the G2 I used before, I can already tell that.
I'll probably be back in a year or two, hopefully to a normal sized Nexus...
