Android |OT5| The Sonic Cycle

How about something like this?

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/mobile/accessory/dc-50/

I don't know if you can get them built into a case, but you could use a rubber band to hold them together in your bag

You know what's really awesome about it? You can recharge the wireless charging battery pack with a wireless charging plate. Not even there you need to use USB.

Yawn. I want to fast forward to get to oneplus2motoxnexus2015 leaks.

The only thing that matters to me right now is the next version of the Moto 360. Why is it taking so long?

Don't understand comments like these, what so shitty about Z3 ui? For example, I find Sony album/gallery apps amongst the best around, very classy and yet works very snappily...

Same, or you can just use the standard Google app. I also like how the app list let's you filter by most used, recently installed etc with that swipe from the left. I deleted all of the Sony widgets though and use nova launcher mainly for smaller dock icons.

I don't seem to be able to use 'ok google' to wake it when the screen is off/locked though. Is that something the xperias don't do, or because I'm using nova launcher? I have the right settings checked in the Google now settings. Running lollipop.

There are plenty of phones with the battery life you desire, but you dismiss all of them out of hand. The problem here isn't with phones I'm afraid.
The Note, sure. I didn't dismiss it. I really considered it but I had to go with the N6. I had to.

More and more family members got the note 4 after seeing the terribad s6, and i've yet to hear a single complaint, everyone loves the note 4 to bits. Waiting for 199 or less on contract and i'm diving in myself. Cmon verizon you scumbags.

Terribad S6? Probably the best reviewed Android phone of all time? Do we live in the same galaxy?

Edit: Did you mean N6?

The ridiculous hyperbole in that post, lol

The S6 is great. My sister is loving hers and it's a pretty great phone. Battery seems great as well so far. Lasts her a full day and then more.

Just need to get a wireless charger thing.

There's too many 6's! He surely can't be talking S6 as it's not been out long enough to say it's that bad to go to another Samsung device, N6 to Note 4 seems like a personal sidestep rather than something an entire family would do.... i6?

S6 has no removable battery or microsd card, so it is instantly terribad. That is my definition of terribad. So S6 = terribad. Everyone who asks me about phones, i tell them those 2 things, and they end up with the note 4.

It's a pain in the ass is what it is. I am baffled by how this is still not fixed. On 4.4.4 you had to tick the setting to allow lock screen widgets in order for it to work. Who knows why. I don't have lollipop on my personal Z3C yet to work it out there.

This post is terribad and you should feel terribad

Fuck the iPhone 6 must be terribad and have awful customer satisfaction. I guess the sequel won't sell when people realise how.terribad it is. Really hope Sammy learn from their mistake.

You've completely messed up that quote, especially if it was meant to be a play on 'if loving you is wrong, I don't want to be right'.

Personally I think your definition of terribad is terribad.

Not the first time i've been called terribad today. Darn it. #teamnote4in2015. Bringing it back.

No, you're not terribad, it's just your definition of terribad that's terribad. You might have terribad opinions on phones, but that doesn't necessarily make you a terribad guy.

Not like that Groof jerk.

I have a dual sim Moto G 2nd Gen but both sims rarely work at the same time. Before starting to use the phone the Lollipop update was already available so I updated without testing the phone before. So now It's on Android 5.0.2, the default APN for one of the sim carriers was not available after the update so I manually added it and that sim is working fine. The problem is the other one, the phone just says that there is no service. Its APN was there after the update but It doesn't work, because of that I created a new APN but that one is not working neither and I already swapped the sims a couple a of times. What else can I do?

It looks like the Xperia Z4 leaks we got so far were for the Z3 Neo? That would explain the same chassis as the Z3. But how much sense would it make to release the same phone with updated internals only?

Z3 Neo for the Summer and "Z5" for the Holiday season?

I thought my opinions were the worst, thinking that S6 and smaller is a phone for ants!

I know I'm a minority and I'm just happy to be currently catered for :)

You're an ant eater aren't you? You can admit it in here. Most of the people in this thread are actually zoo exhibits. For example AJ is a Sea Turtle.

should be interesting. Then maybe the Z5/Z5 compact rumours are the real Z4 rumours :p

Nobody ruins my family vacation but me...and maybe the boy!
Just ordered 2 Galaxy S6's for me and my pops. We both have been iPhone users for years, so I'm making the switch. I don't know, I was looking up iPhone 6 reviews on youtube last night and somehow stumbled upon a few S6 reviews and it seemed like a much better world to live in, especially since the iPhone 6 looks like a lot of the same. Hopefully I'm doing the right thing...*skulks away*

You made the right choice. I'm telling you this while typing on a iPhone wishing that I was using my S6 Edge instead :(

I think it's the worst possible time to switch to iPhone. The s6 is so much better. Crazy better screen, finally a better camera, faster storage, and even a more premium design. There is finally a better alternative on android on all those key areas. I could imagine switching before for the camera or whatever, but unless you hate android or have a specific need for iOS, switching to an ip6 now doesn't make sense to me, and I switch from platform to platform constantly. If you don't want the s6, wait for the s6 plus and see if apple at least ups the ram and/or the mp on the camera.

I agree with this post, but I would also add that iOS has some seriously annoying issues, the iPhone gets way more love here than it deserves. Try copying text on Neogaf, for example, and the phone pretty much goes full retard. And I don't know what idiot at Apple thought it was a good idea to tie in your notification volume with the media volume rather than your ringer volume. Apple's stock apps have some seriously annoying issues too, like not being able to delete calendar invites without first sending a response to the person who sent it out.

I have similar thoughts to the LG G3 Lollipop UI. Works fine, and I like double tap to wake and sleep. I'm using all the same apps everyone else is using like gmail, chrome, hangouts, YouTube, Facebook ect... Anyways.

It's really not that dramatically different from using my stock Nexus 7 other than the fact that the N7 lacks tap to wake/sleep.

I think it's similar to the thoughts about the wiz UI in the GS6. It's not wow inducing, but it's fine and most everyone uses the same apps anyways.

Whatsapp finally got a material design update. It's really slick!

looks nicer but that phone icon needs to disappear asap.Or located elsewhere. I've hit it several times when trying to send a pic.

Btw time to improve hangouts too, i still cannot send contacts for example.

Sony's UI seems both unnecessary and dated. They changed a few things about the overall aesthetic for no reason reason that I can gauge. It's not that far off from stock but that's what makes it even more puzzling why they couldn't just go more toward stock.

And it's dated because...I mean just look at that messaging icon.

The only thing that looks really dated to me are the icons on the home screen and I can't understand why they haven't updated them. They're hideous and so... 2005? Just awful.

there are only two possibilities. Laziness or bad taste. Not sure I'm into supporting any of those traits :p

Is it worth updating to lolipop with all the bugs that it has ?

5.1 only

Any impressions on 5.1? Are most of the issues gone?

On Nexus 6, mostly. There were some very specific fixes to that though which turned off some Snapdragon features and used their own CPU system for a huge speedup.

The memory leak is mitigated, but not gone. Had to reboot daily on 5.0.1 to stop the UI redrawing but now it's every 3 days. That's bearable to me, but don't forget this is a 3GB RAM device, so YMMV with other phones.

There's allegedly another fix in place for the memory leak looking at the code, but who knows when it will be pushed out by Google. Are you facing or read about any other issues with Lollipop other than those?

I knew you had a Nexus 5, but in red, too? Awesome!

And yes, pictures do it no justice. It's so neon red, it glows in your hand and you could blind a person with it.
Oh absolutely. Sometimes I catch myself staring at its reflection in my palm. It's really quite something else.
If the sun was red, would that be considered brighter than yellow?
It would certainly make for some interesting lighting!

If you don't use an icon pack on Android you deserve all the horrible icons you inevitably get, no matter what OEM or stock.

Again I'm in an app 99% of the time. Does it really even matter?

Honestly app UI updates for gmail, pocket casts, hangouts, falcon pro ect... Are a bigger deal to me.

I was just curious. I'm running a droid turbo which is getting upgraded straight to 5.1. I had heard about a lot of the lollipop issues, mainly the memory leak, and was worried about getting them myself. Good to know it's been mitigated a bit.

Stock Android is overrated. It's what Nexus lovers have harped on for the past few years because other phones have better battery life and cameras.

the moto g is actually pretty legit. Would be nicer with faster hardware. I am sure the X and nexus 6 are pretty awesome.

I prefer Stock android over anything. I don't mind skins like Moto which had very unobtrusive features to benefit the user but I don't like the complete reskinning.

I also like the simplicity of it all. I'm not big on customization and feature lists and whatnot. People always say you spend most of your time in apps anyway so what does it matter, but it's because of that reason I prefer the phone to be slimmed down/able to receive updates quicker (in theory lolgoogle) and whatnot.
