Moto should bring back the Razr lineup and have it look like the GS6E. Call it the Razr's Edge.

Based Pun GAF!

Nah that's too edgy for Moto

Think that TI chip was the cause of the battery life concerns as well.

The Urbane is going to be hard to beat for me though. It's looking great.

That does look quite nice but I still think the moto looks better.

Yeah I heard that and on launch it was pretty bleek but software updates seems to have helped.

Has Google made Android Wear more functional on round displays since last year's release?

I have no issues on my 360 with anything. I think at the start the google now cards didn't exactly fit the screen but its fine now. If anything some things look better on the round screen such as the media controls .

The media controls are functional but IMO they don't look very nice.

It's edging closer, but AW still works better on square displays.

I find it surprisingly lazy that both Google and Apple designed their watch OSes around square interfaces.

It shows a pretty dumb disregard for the most typical form factor of watches.

Can someone explain how the storage deal works with Google photos? I want to use it to back up my photos, but I only have 25GB of space for drive (whereas I have 1TB on microsoft one drive).

I take photos at the max megapixel on the nexus 6. When I look at those photos in the photos app on the web it shows (0 quota used) for said backed up photos.

Do photos from auto backup not count against your drive space?

Apple has the edge in that people just think Apple knows what is best for them.

It makes sense in the way that it's the best design for displaying information, which is the main point. I'd hardly call it lazy.

That said, I do find all the square offerings we've been shown so far ugly as fuck.

Only photos over 2048x2048 pixels and videos longer than 15 minutes count toward your storage limit.. I can't remember what the max res is for Nexus 6.

Rectangle is is best for info in the same way round is best for a clock. But I agree the best smart designs so far have been round. I have rectangular watches that look great, just none of the smartwatches are as nice.

Just downloaded a backed up photo from the N6 and windows shows the resolution is 4096x3040. So i can't figure out why it isn't using quota.

I read that it also exempts a number of photos of any size. Some hundreds. Sort of a "first 500 free, then after 500 free under a certain size" approach. The number 500 is made up by me.

It's just a reality that a rectangular shape is better for a smart watch.

IO better have multi screen for stock Android. Keep stealing OEM ideas.

Can't see it happening tbh it would be great to see (as well as making the keyboard shrink to one side of the screen for easier typing....yeah I know an apple thing) but you know Google. Hell they haven't even copied the left/right side toggle yet which is loads better than the two swipe down.

I'm surprised by how many 3rd party apps support multi window on my S6, how did Samsung pull that off? The two swipe and left/right swipe (or two finger swipe) for the notifications shade is just an incredibly stupid design decision. I like how Samsung does it, pull down anywhere from the top edge once for settings and notifications, the way it should be in stock Android.

Guys I have a hard time deciding...

Should I get a black or white S6?

Black, it's Black/Navy Blue depending on the light. Looks so cool in person. White looks good too, kinda a mother of pearl look to it. Still, black is the way to go, so sexy.

Unless you hate fingerprints, they're more noticeable on the black model. Not horrible, easy to wipe off but definitely a lot more noticeable than the white model.

well, they enable it by default it on their apps and many popular 3rd party apps, and they also released an SDK years ago and any app dev can pretty easily enable support when making their app. with root or edited APKs, you can make any app use it and like 99.99% work fine.

IIRC there was a leak a while back showing Google was working on it. I'm too lazy to look for it right now.

It is impressive how it's done and done so well. I can't comment on it too much as I've never used it before the only thing anywhere near it I've used is viral player and it's on top video player settings which I use every night or so which is awesome. I don't mind the left/right swipe down for toggles but I guess that's because i've gotten used to it now but the way Google has it is the worst way.

Oh really? great if so! it's long overdue.

Anybody getting their phone going into priority mode randomly? every now and then (at least once per day) I'll find my phone with that stupid star icon in the notification area.

I'd love a split screen option in android. I have a couple of split screen browsers on iPad, and small apps on the xperia lets me browse while having youtube up at the same time, but proper multitasking would be good.

Found it. Looks promising, but still you never know what Elgoog is actually going to do...

Oh yeah I remember seeing that! Hopefully see an appearance at I/O.

You don't have an Android Wear connected do you?

I'm kinda getting tired of my Nexus 5. The battery barely lasts a day. I had two train rides today (each about 50 minutes) and I used mobile internet, mostly twitter and some websites. I also used the phone a few times during the day to check the time and twitter/facebook. When I finally arrived home, I had 5% left.

I really want to get a phone with excellent battery life. I heard Sony Xperia is good for this, but I'm not sure I want to pay €500 for one. The Z2 is only €380 but I don't know if it's a good idea to buy an older model, I'm used to having the most recent phone.

Note 4 or OP One.

Don't get an N6.

The white edge is probably the most striking device on the market. However, I just love how the phone randomly looks blue. I have the black one and I absolutely love it. My sister in law has the edge and its such an attention grabber from any angle.

Does anyone have some personal impressions of the OnePlus One? I'm kind of tempted to dump my first-gen Moto X and upgrade to one, but I'm hesitate because of all the quality control problems with the device I've read about.

I would go with a Note 4. I think that's what I'm gonna do

The Yellow banding issue was pretty much solved last time I read (there was also none on mine when I had the phone) About the other aspects of it the quality of the device is top notch imo the presentation of the box it even comes in is great but the main issue I had with the phone was the official software it always had issue and sure they're not gonna be completely bug free but it still came with a few too much issues for my liking. This might change with Oxygen OS the PA guys are really awesome but only time will tell on that front.

So, I'm finally replacing my Samsung S5360 with the Galaxy S6 Edge. I would consider this my first new smartphone. This would be my first phone without at microSD card :)

Yellow banding is gone but a new problem is here. Touchscreen not working properly in warm weather.

The phone sounds good on paper but I don't regret ditching mine. Sounded good on paper but it's cheap for a reason. Ropey quality and a shit company.

Best Android phone I had so far. Super fast and great battery. Love it. And I had no problems with it so far. CM12 is also great.

Interestingly they don't need to be on the same wifi network. So you could technically not carry your phone with you if it stays somewhere with internet? Seems odd but it would help if you could leave it in a locker at the gym for example.

Feels like they're using Push Bullet type stuff to share notifications. Not sure how it does phone calls though.
