Even if the Nexus 9 dropped in price, I still wouldn't buy one. I want a tablet that doesn't crash apps on the regular. Chrome, hangouts, music, chrome casting YouTube.

How many times does Pyro have to post that Music crashes all the time when multi tasking?N9 doesn't crash shit on the latest build.
I swear it's like you have selective reading comprehension.

Garbage tablet.Apps very rarely crash on the N9 in my experience. Its problems are more memory issues (apps constantly reloading), lag issues (though much less now with 5.1.1 and even more so with M), and annoying heat issues.
I use chrome and hangouts all the time together. Don't really use music. How many times does Pyro have to post that Music crashes all the time when multi tasking?

I'll fight you.Pyro says he doesn't even really use music so how the fuck can it crash all the time?
You can get the 16GB Nexus 9 for £200 now, £300 for the 32GB in the UK which is a substantial discount from the original price.
They should have nothing "decent". They should strive for excellence in all areas.
Once you go Nexus you never go back
Huawei been having nice ass phones for a little while now. The one I posted was the Ascend Mate 7. The one I personally think the Nexus phone is using as a base. There's also the P8:
Oddly enough I went Nexus and I've been with Samsung ever since
It depends on the app. Some support it. Others don't. I suggest to upload your music to Google Play Music , up to 50k songs for free and use sd to download music for offline play or cache.
You should also disable apps and uninstall those you won't use. Are you using a 8gb M4? It is a nice device but the 8 gb one has serious space issues.Hopefully future fw updates will help a bit, latest one freed 3-400 MB.
I pay full price for phones too, but I understand what you're talking about. I feel like Google will go all in for premium devices, or if Pyro's guesses are correct, they'll offer two versions. But I want excellence in the price deparment. I'm in Europe, so we don't have those sweet data plans like you guys, and no way I'm paying 700 euros for another Nexus.

Having Samsung as my first Android phone made me go Nexus. Best face turn I ever did.
Having Samsung as my first two Android phones (and smartphones I guess) almost made me go Apple. They seriously need to get their stuff together.Having Samsung as my first Android phone made me go Nexus. Best face turn I ever did.

Best American sale has be like $350/$400 aka $50 off. Shit needs to be $300/$350.
it looks pretty good but it's priced in no mans land like the moto x. Rather get a nexus. It's also kinda big for a 5.5.I dig the boxart
Also, y'all should be buying a ZTE Axon

Hi AndroidGAF! iOS user here with some prior Android experience before I went to an iPhone 5S.
I'm interested in coming back to Android, but I'm completely out of the loop. I've been looking at the G4 and Z3/Z3C... Are these worth getting now, or would I be shooting myself in the foot by not waiting? What big ticket phones are coming out soon? Any around the size of a 5S/Z3C?
None around those sizes unless you want a shitty phone because in the android world small phones = gimped.Hi AndroidGAF! iOS user here with some prior Android experience before I went to an iPhone 5S.

Also the xperia z5 compact will be out sooner or later this year. With that said, join the rest of us in waiting for the nexus phone(s). AKA the only phones really worth getting. I'd take an S6 over a G4 though. Z3 compact is dated.
it's more a matter of update support. I really wouldn't trust sony so much as to get the z3c now.Seems like the Z5C will have the same resolution and body as the Z3C with the 810 2.1? I don't play games outside of silly timewasters, so it can't be that much of an improvement... Right?

You can sit on the upgrade though. No need to use it right away. I say wait until early september or mid to late august. By then you'll definitely know if the OP2 doesn't suck or has issues, if the moto x is decent, nexus phones will probably have leaked many of times by then, sony's upcoming lineup will be known, etc...My only big issue here is that I have a month left on my contract

By late august which is one month we'll know more than we do now. If you wait a week or two later than that you'll probably know more! If you plan on using your next phone for at least 2 years I think waiting a month or just past a month is worthwhile. That's just me.
I'm not sure which phone I should get. It would be really nice to get some opinions on here.
XIAOMI MI4I - 210
MEIZU M2 Note - 150
ASUS ZenFone 2 (4gb/1.8ghz variant) - 240
Elephone P7000 - 210
I'm looking for a phone that does everything ok. So I guess a Jack of all Trades in the midrange class.
edit: forgot to say that I will play some games on my phone. Nothing too demanding.
You don't need to. What carrier are you with? When your "contract" is over (assuming you're still on a 3yr old plan) you can keep using your plan and then upgrade whenever you want. If you're on a 2yr it's the same. How do I go about getting a decent 2 month stop gap plan, though? I'm in Canada.

are you sure they're even going to let you upgrade when your contract is up? People on those old promo plans are being forced onto newer plans if you upgrade. Only choice is to buy your next phone off contract. Unless Telus told you otherwise recently....My plan is old, though. They don't offer it
I'm with Telus on a 3 year plan, getting 6gb for $65
