Lame. Todays secret announcement from Moto was just a new Moto E which we already knew about

So when is Google going to merge Hangouts, Google Messenger and the default SMS app into one single app?

It bothers me that they can't become laser focused.

Report: Galaxy S6 Edge Might be More Expensive Than the iPhone, Samsung Having Yield Issues

Lastly, one piece of information may hurt a few people’s hopes of buying the device, as it is reported that the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will feature insane off-contract prices. For the Galaxy S6, Ars Technica reports that the phone is listed at $849, $963, and $1,076 for the 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB models respectively. These prices are what Samsung will sell the phones for to carriers, and have also been converted from Euros, meaning they could fluctuate a tad. More startling are the prices for the GS6 Edge, which is reportedly listed at $1,076 for the 64GB version and $1,189 for the 128GB model.

Snapdragon 810 slower than new Mediatek processor in benchmarks

http://blog.gsmarena.com/mediatek-mt6795-smokes-snapdragon-810-geekbench-3-0-closes-exynos-7420/

Qualcomm has lost their advantage now that their using standard ARM cpu cores instead of their own custom designs.

Ouch, although they didn't factor in gpu performance so Snapdragon 810 could have better overall performance. The exynos processor looks like the one to beat. Apparently it gives better battery life than the snapdragon series too.

I bought my Mum the Moto E for Christmas and I was very impressed with it for the price.

The new one looks a hell of a deal for the money.

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
At this rate, they should just cancel all the phones this year or just use the Snapdragon 805.

At anyrate still feels like if you gave an 801 or 805 device with enough RAM you shouldn't really give a shit anyways. Those devices are already fast, and they aren't suddently glmns get slow when new models drop.

Nah, I don't give a shit about LG. I'll allow it.

AC's review unit having CPU throttling issues too. Garbage phone.

LG has consistently been the only OEM that has been improving over these past years. Everyone else is running in circles trying to figure out if what they're holding is something worth a damn or their own penises.

I wouldn't call putting overly dense displays, using awful feeling plastics, and relying heavily on gimmicks as constantly improving, but that's just IMO. Their cameras are top notch, though, wish every phone had laser focusing.

Their skin is also super ugly.

Comparing LG of 2014 to LG of 2012 they've come the longest out of them all. The biggest fault of the G3 was the display and even that wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the strange sharpening filter they used. The plastic? Felt good in the hand not gonna lie. This isn't Samsung.

As for the skin, yes it is ugly. But even that has improved leaps and bounds over what it used to be.

Thus LG has been the only one constantly improving.

Samsung S6 Edge going to be the first $400 on contract phone?

Also SMH:

Also, TouchWiz on the Galaxy S6 will not be much different from Android Lollipop based TouchWiz on the Galaxy Note 4, however the software will be leaner and faster, along with many more animations from Google’s latest design guidelines. Samsung has also updated the design of all the essential apps like music player, video player, and gallery to better suit Android 5.0 Lollipop.

So do more recent Android devices still stutter and lag when installing/updating apps? That's one of my biggest annoyances with Android. My S4 locks up almost every time.

LG seems to be the only OEM aware of their mistakes and are trying to fix them. They're also the only OEM actually putting effort into the android wear market as well. Asus too.

Lock up? No, not at all. If you were scrolling through a long list while apps were installing, though, you will probably notice a bit of stutter. Considering the paragon of smoothness is iOS, I feel that I have to mention that a similar effect still occurs even on my iPhone 6, though maybe to a slightly lesser degree.

In short, it's not really too noticeable anymore. I'm actually surprised your S4 has issues. Ever since the Snapdragon 400 phones came out, it seems to be very minimal.

The S4 really did. Nexus 6 has a couple of times in terms of really major stutter, but I think that's that damn encryption. It didn't on my friends Z3.

They are the first OEM to realize nobody wants fucking bezels. They win for that alone in my book.

They also were the manufacture for the Nexus 5 which has been the best Nexus phone to date with the price and performance at launch.

Has anyone noticed the S6 renders and schematics all do not have a slot for a microsd card? Being all metal with a non-removable back now requires a slot for that and there isn't one....

I am getting the impression MicroSD expansion is gone in this new era of super thing metal Samsung phones.
Well under the Sim card tray door could be a Sim card and a micro SD card slot next to each other.

Any idea if the HTC One M8 is arm or arm64? I saw on Android Police the new Google Search APK was released for download, but there's 2 different download links. If it helps, I'm runnkng ADHD 34.1 on Lollipop.

It's not a 64 bit processor. The Snapdragon 810 is Qualcomm's first 64 bit ARM processor, and that's going to be available with the new flagships this year.

Also SMH:

Note 4 Edge was $400 on contract. so were some old Windows Mobile phones.

128gb iPhone 6/6+ would like a word. Samsung always copying.

doesn't count. starts at $199/$299

Oh no! The horror!

Never used them, but the browser is probably still better than Chrome, lol

better than Chrome and their email app is da best.

but i assume they're artill there based on that "Samsung has also updated the design of all the essential apps like music player, video player, and gallery to better suit Android 5.0 Lollipop." quote.
