Really? That does explain the terrible ending. Everything up until the last arc of KHR was pretty great, IMO.

The side characters in Bleach have been much more useful than one piece. Yeah they lost against Aizen, but they eliminated the arrancar, and now they are playing a vital role in this arc.
In one piece characters get introduced and soon forgotten about

It was, it picked way up after the time travel arc.
But then, poof. no way a that lady who even during the worst arc kept persistent decent story pacing, decides to pull a 6th grader writing a paper right at the end as she was just establishing new story lines.
That shit got canned. And what makes me more salty Bleach was in the mists of a very bad arc i believe. So i'm like, why? Just.. why?

Yeah, it was canned, and the future arc was garbage. The last 2 arcs, ending not withstanding, were great as far as i am concerned.

I like one piece a lot, mostly only really read naruto out of habit these days (and typically wish death on the characters more often than I enjoy the story), and never got into bleach in the first place.
I think my enthusiasm peaked higher for naruto than one piece, though.

Can I Be the minority? Magi and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Magi is by far one of my favorite new Shounen manga.and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is just well bizarre and I love it
Now as for the big 3 i'm gonna have to go with Naruto, I don't know why but I HATED Part 1 and the only Arc I like was the Zabuza Arc and its still the best arc in the series by far but Part 2 is getting.. kinda better, the last few chapters are a little bit of a clusterf*ck
I Never liked One piece because Luffy is the absolute worst. Now as for Bleach... I gave up on that show when the Bount arc started.. it got so ridiculous
Also Dio Brando is my favorite anime/manga villain of all time.

Unfortunately, you will. Reading the manga is your best bet, unless you can stand cheap animation and bad pacing. Very little filler though.

Huh, call me crazy but I enjoyed the future arc. It's a shame, the rainbow tournament arc was pretty cool and the ending could have been something great. I always thought Reborn was pretty popular though, why would they [Jump?] decide to cancel it?

I did not like the future arc because a lot of things. For one the fake wrath six or soemthing like that. Future Tsuna never showing up, and i found it boring.
and you're salty about One Piece. No need to quote everyone that says something positive about it and try and disprove them because you like Bleach more.
On topic, I would say One Piece. I never could get past the first few episodes of Shippuden for whatever reason, pre time-skip was better imo. Bleach is just un-interesting to me. I might go back and try to re-watch Bleach though, there seems to be a few interesting things that pop up in it.

One Piece is one of the greatest pieces of fiction of all time in my eyes. It's a series I grew up with, and something that will always be close to my heart. I will follow the series until it is done, and even after that.
Naruto really started to go down the shitter when Shippuden came along, and after the Pein arc it was a.... Pein to read. ohohoho
And I just can't get into Bleach. Too many characters that do absolutely nothing and everything just feels like Kubo decided to do that plot the week before.

One Piece. There's just something about One Piece that puts it above the rest for me. The whole setting, atmosphere, and characters are just so great.
Bleach could have been sooo good. I was expecting the FKT to be amazing. But it ended up being a huge letdown
Maybe the anime does it more justice. Right now though it's kinda meh...
As for Naruto about 80% of things post-timeskip has been shitty. Goddamn pre-timeskip was so good. Akatsuki and Itachi were setup to be so fucking awesome. Then the reveals happened....

I like One Piece the most because I love adventure stories. The cast is just so fun-loving, and the series makes me feel like a kid all over. There aren't too many series that create this sense of joy and adventure.

The arc wasn't bad , its was placed poorly. Time travel arcs are for changes of pace. Why the hell would you put a time travel arc when we are just getting used to the pace we were on with shonen Tsunayoshi. That arc should have been WAY later, its not bad, placed poorly though.
Also yes, yes reborn was pretty popular. Tsuna just got into frigging J stars. I am still confused on why it got canned. There is always the possibility of the author herself having problems, happened with that NANA manga.

And rightly so. Bleach is possibly the most overrated manga in the history of Jump. If the manga continued with the same quality that the first 2 opening arcs had then it might deserve to be regarded as one of the "Big 3" of this generation. And even then, Bleach's best was barely better than Narutos best (Zabuza arc) and the best of One Piece is simply in a different league to the both of those.
My problems with Bleach? Well where to fucking start...
The main character Ichigo. So many things wrong with this character. He has as much charisma as a fucking log. He pretty much has every form of power introduced to the manga. Shinigami powers, Hollow/Vizard powers, the type of power he gained when he lost his shinigami powers (the power those useless side characters Chad and Inoue have) and now he's also a fucking Quincy. Mfw, talk about trying to force him into every damn plot detail...
Aizen. What a shit villain. Ridiculously overpowered with his bs illusions. He got fucking beat by Ichigo instead of all these experienced, powerful captains like the vizard shinji, kyoraku, unohana. I can't even remember why but it was some bullocks reason... Ichigo being the only person to not see Aizens shikai and hence being able to see through Aizens illusions... Then why the fuck didn't Aizen just show him his shikai??? Jesus...
That kinda brings me to the power levels. There are so many examples showing how screwed up they are. But let me bring you to the latest case. Two vizard captains were beaten easily by one quincy. Guess who fucking beats that quincy? Fucking Renji.... :lol

There's also the lack of backgrounds, ridiculously big tits, that pointless arc between aizens defeat and the quincys etc
Oh and the quincys. Weren't they introduced as people who pretty much only use archery? With a couple little gadgets here and there? When's the last time we've seen a quincy use a bow and arrow?
Tbh, mate, Bleach just sucks. Sorry. The story is an absolute mess and Kubo is just dragging this out for the $$$.

I would lie if I said that the continued success of bleach doesn't surprise me a bit. The very beginning was promising, but it threw it all away for a very insipid power-level based story.
My biggest qualm when we were deep into the soul society arc was that the world didn't seem to follow a set of rules.
Naruto easily because it has the best animation/story. Bleach was up there at one point (namely ulquiorra/pantera dude) those fights were superb. But filler killed the series, the manga is in a terrible state right now.
One piece is just good fun to watch but the animation isn't as good and the story is meandering right now.
Dammit when is Attack on Titan series 2 gonna be ready.

Oda doesn't forget about characters though. He gives some of the most arbitrary ass characters in the series extended side stories just because. Sure, many characters disappear for a long time, but if they come back (and the precedent has been set that any character, no matter how minor, will come back), it's to do more than to kill a dude introduced a handful of chapters earlier.
And the "character development" in Bleach is pretty weak. For the most part it's "learn a new power and use it". Any actual attempt at character development is either forgotten or hilariously subverted as soon as it's introduced ie: Orhime claiming she'll destroy the Hougyuku and then never mentioning it again or Chad claiming he's made any progress toward becoming competent.

For the most part you're right about Bleach, but I still thought the best arcs were when they were fighting against Aizen and the Espada. That mention about big tits though is spot on. I get that shonen manga is targeted at adolescent boys, but it's really overkill a lot of the time. Anyone who's read any of History's Strongest Disciple: Kenichi, will know what I'm talking about.
Also, IMO the best arc in Naruto was the Search for Sasuke/The Sound 4 Arc. There were some awesome fights in that one, especially the
Lee/Gaara team up against Kimimaro
I may be in the minority here, but I think most of the Shippuden series outclasses the original.
Edit: What are peoples favorite arcs in One Piece? Mine is probably the Enies Lobby arc, followed up by the W.B.War Arc. Neither of the current arcs have caught my attention as much, but I have hope for the Dressarosa arc. it's shaping up to be pretty cool, although I'm not completely caught up yet

The term "big 3" isn't even relevant anymore tbh. It was used on anime/manga forums years ago since that was the 3 most popular series being discussed on them. Oh, and those guys that debate who's stronger and do mock battles and shit. Well they used the more cringe worthy "holy shonen trinity".
Naruto for me. I have been a fan of it since the manga was first released in the US, and a new volume coming out is still my main incentive for visiting the bookstore.
Bleach was good in its first arc and still had a lot of promise in the Soul Society Arc, but it fell into a complete mess as soon as Aizen revealed his true colors. After that, it had signs of bringing back the stuff that originally made it good, but then degenerated into a thinly veiled excuse for more and more fights. I dropped it around that point. Why couldn't Tite Kubo have maintained some more consistency, or followed through on his good ideas more?
While I liked what little One Piece I saw on TV here in the US, despite the innumerable issues with that, I just can't get into One Piece. It is simply too massive. I can't justify either the monetary or time investment required to start something that enormous when I am this far behind.
As far as other stuff goes, Hunter x Hunter is good, and Magi is pretty good so far.
