Best way to put it:

Main event ending felt like it came straight out of weekly RAW rather than the grandaddy WrestleMania.

Yea was my feelings exactly, only thing missing were constant ad breaks during the match to give it that real Raw authenticity.

Sad part is Raw crowd is way better than what we had at WM.

Cody's entrance was godlike. He didn't even do anything special, but damn his gimmick is really good. I love it. Hope they do great things with him.

Watching EntertainmentMania just makes me wish I bought the 2 ROH shows.

I'll know better next year unless CM Punk is in an Ironman Match with Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship.

It'll be a dark match.

PS: That'd be the best match ever.

Did anyone gif CM Sucks face when he got RKO'd?

Oh wow.. are you some sort of Cena fan or what?

Fixed. Because we can't have them going for any of that spinning or M bs.

Yeah but at least Orton is a little more tasteful with his promos, I mean, he doesn't direct them to 8 year olds.

Just like Samson's, the hair was his weakness.

Seraphis Cain

bad gameplay lol

I think it's because he actually referred to Punk as "CM Sucks".

Only Cena marks do that shit.

Randy Orton responds to Kurt Angle:

Everythings been done before as far as 'moves' go in the sports entertainment. I want to thank SCSA for the 'Thesz Press'.

And I know for a fact that SCSA got the 'Thesz Press' from Dutch Mantel.

Point being, instead of taking offense to someone using your move, consider it a sign of respect.

Btw does anyone know what Ken Shamrocks finish was? I believe Jack Swagger used ankle lock outta respect for Ken?

honestly, i dont think even cena marks would say something like that

It's going to be interesting how long they keep Cody's "UnDashing" gimmick going for because I really really think it's one of the best things going today.

They went straight for the stands after the show to buy the red shirts and stuff, so I'm sure they would get onto that quite easily. Thankfully the Punk chants would be louder anyway.

This is what I would do:

Have him go nuts and psychotic and win a title. Then Vince comes out and sends him to the psycho wards like he did with masked Kane back in the day.

Then he returns with an even bigger mask covering more of his face with the new name "Code E". Like some special mental ward freak case.

Yeah that would be awesome :D

Some brief thoughts:

-Got to the Dome around 5:30 with my brother. Scalpers galore. Some people were selling these bootleg Wrestlemania t-shirts for $10.

-They had a big merchandise booth set up outside of the dome. Selection was a bit limited though. The Wrestlemania-branded apparel was fucking terrible. There was this awful butterfly-like design that they used for the WM t-shirts, and the shirts overall were the kind of shit that you wouldn't dare wear outside of your house (or inside of your house, for that matter). The only good t-shirt was the "I Bring It" shirt. Minimalistic and doesn't look like your typical wrestling t-shirt with god awful graphics. I ended up picking up the "I Bring It" shirt as well as a program.

-Saw alot of people dressed up as wrestlers. One family had a son dressed up as '98 masked Kane, another son dressed up as '99 Taker, and a 4-year-old dressed up as Hornswoggle.

-Mullets and rednecks and bad BO were quite abundant today. :( It was like all of the stereotypes about wrestling fans come to life on a large scale.

-Even before the pre-show began, the crowd would randomly start up loud chants of "Let's go Cena!" and "Cena sucks!". Was pretty surreal to witness that live.

-Pre-show started at 6:30. The moment Justin Roberts announced that it was for the U.S. title, I just knew that GAF would not be happy at all. :lol Sheamus got a much larger pop than Bryan. Regal actually got a nice reception during the intro of the lumberjacks. Crowd was behind Henry and R-Truth as well as Bryan towards the end. A big WTF at Khali winning though. Came out of nowhere.

-Rock got a massive pop to start out. It's truly amazing to see how he has the people in the palm of his hand. He could start up any chant he wanted to off the top of his head, and the crowd would happily oblige.

-I was really thankful to not be sitting near any overly smarky douchebags. You frequently read about those people who try to show off their KNOWLEDGE OF THE BUSINESS~! to everyone around them, and being my first wrestling event, I was expecting the worst. But I had some decent people around me. There were a row of kids in front of us, and whenever the crowd members would be cheering for a heel, these kids would be all like "Shut up! Stop cheering for that idiot!", which was terrific.

-We were also shocked to see Del Rio/Edge open up the show. Crowd was hot for the match, and it turned out to be a great opener. Was disappointed with the ending though. :(

-Mysterio/Rhodes started off slow, but won people over when Rhodes busted out that fantastic delayed superplex. I enjoyed this match.

-Snoop Dogg segment was over big with the live crowd.

-I went to get food during the entrances of the 8-man tag, and two minutes later, the match ended while I was still in line. :| This would begin a trend where this show largely felt like it was constantly rushing to get to the next thing.

-You really gain an appreciation for Punk when you see him live. He doesn't need to do any overly flashy move to get his point across because his mannerisms and facial expressions are terrific enough to get over with the live audience in addition to the television audience. Orton/Punk itself was ok, never felt like it went into second gear though.

-Crowd loved the Rock/Okerlund/Pee Wee segment, and I enjoyed it as well.

-I lol'd hard when Drew Carey got booed. Loved seeing HBK live. Sunny looks fantastic.

-Cole/Lawler was real interesting live. Stone Cold got a massive pop. Cole's promo work was perfect to start off. But once the match started, it kind of fell apart. Lawler being on the defensive for most of the match just did not sit well with the crowd. People started getting restless, and the "boring" chants were getting louder and louder. Personally, the match went pretty much how I expected it. The stunner on Swagger got a gigantic pop live. Crowd loved Austin when Cole was tapping out. I lol'd hard when Austin stunned Booker. Hated the decision to reverse the Cole/Lawler decision. I understand they needed a way to get rid of Matthews for the rest of the show, but surely there's another way of doing that.

-HHH vs. Taker was the first match that really felt like it was a Wrestlemania match. HHH and Taker's entrances were just incredible live, particularly HHH (which I didn't expect). Loved the Metallica inclusion. Crowd was really hot for this one. HHH's tombstone on Taker got one of the biggest pops of the night. Just an incredible match that was nearly worth the show alone. The way that Taker worked this match (as if it was his last) was terrific and had the crowd fully engrossed in it.

-Snooki won over the crowd by the end of the 6-person tag with her two moves. Really disappointed that Ziggler and Morrison didn't have a larger role in this year's show.

-The effect of having no MITB match became more and more apparent as the show progressed.

-The video packages for Miz and Cena (particularly Miz's) were fucking incredible. Some of the best work ever done by the WWE production team.

-Crowd was just drained by the time Miz/Cena started. Just didn't feel like it should be a Wrestlemania main event. Funny enough, people were starting to file out even before the match began (I think the WWE may want to reconsider having 4-hour Wrestlemania's in the future, it just takes its toll on the crowd). The Rock's rock-bottom on Cena was fucking great and got the biggest pop of the night. Other than that, the match was really really forgettable.

-Overall, a great live experience, but a bit underwhelmed overall as well. It just didn't feel like the WWE had pulled out all the stops in terms of the matches on the show. Felt like they were holding back, as if this show was Part 1 and WM 28 was Part 2 or something along those lines.

After thinking about it, this was the worst WM since 15.

Only one match truly felt like it belonged in the event, the rest could of been placed on any other show. While Edge/Del Rio, Rhodes/Mysterio, and Punk/Orton were solid, they wouldn't of felt out of place on any other PPV and didn't really vibe off the WM atmosphere. Not to mention the pacing of the show didn't help either; the last well paced WM was 24 which also delivered on all the big matches.

Miz/Cena did not belong in the main event. The clusterfuck finish and the average match quality made it the worst main event since uh...Wrestlemania 13 holy shit. Adding up the match times, we have quite a bit less than 2 hours of in ring action. Guess Wrestlemania really is Entertainmania now.

Oh well, I hope they can bring it for WM28, mostly because I'll be there live. Mysterio vs Mistico, Cena vs Taker, Jericho vs Daniel, CM Punk vs Triple H make it happen WWE!

Bumping Sheamus/Bryan to the dark match really shows you how much WWE gives a damn about their mid-card singles titles now. The morose way they treated titles began with the tag titles and now it's spread to the U.S./IC titles.

Can you imagine Mr. Perfect vs. Big Bossman getting bumped to the WM7 dark match? Or Roddy Piper vs. Bret Hart getting bumped to the WM8 dark match?
