So ordered the game despite being slight marked up, seems to be out of print. Really looking forward to digging into this game.

How much space does this game take up? Thinking about buying a folding gaming table and was wondering if the smaller size would work.

At home I play on an 80x80cm surface which is very comfortable for two players. Four player needs a bit bigger but I think the gat44 should be easily big enough to house a game nicely.
i know the feeling..Continued with my Dunwich campaign a little this weekend, and then again last night. We're up through Blood on the Altar now, so just three to go!
Rex hasn't suffered any more permanent injuries, although his curse has come up quite a bit, causing him to fumble around a few times during certain key points in the scenarios. We've done several things differently than last time, so that should change the story around a bit as we progress forward.
Cool things we've done..Finally killed The Experiment, and got all the clues out of the Hidden Chamber.
Even though I've got 30 plays logged, we're still screwing things up just about every game. We forgot to pump up the Hunting Horror once, and I think I used Higher Education a few times in one scenario when I didn't have 5+ cards. I even forgot to get resources from Milan several times, and I've used that card a ton! It is a testament to the game though that even though we're fucking up rules and cheating (or getting cheated), it's still a fun experience and we're still running into tough situations that cause us to put a lot of thought into our actions.
i know the feeling..
let's hope i become a better player by the time carcosa hits
btw how many mythos will carcosa be composed of?

I personally would never go for any super expensive storage for an LCG, as you will definitely outgrow it if you keep up with the game. $70 is four mythos packs and change.Uhm..
Storage solution..
It's 75 +'shipping... in pound, thus around 84 eur..I personally would never go for any super expensive storage for an LCG, as you will definitely outgrow it if you keep up with the game. $70 is four mythos packs and change.

Core is 39eur, deluxe is 29, mythos 11-12..
So..
That being said, what do you suggest then?
A few ultra pro deck 4 eur each, 1 per mythos is , 2 for the core, 2 for deluxe, is already 40 eur as is for 10 decks..
Then another round for the next cycle (carcosa) and I'm looking at 8 more decks for around 32 eur..
So with "cheap" solution, by the time carcosa is complete, I'll spend close to the "expensive" solution, bit by bit ..
That's why I'm almost leaning toward the expensive solution...
For a single given skill test, only one copy of that card may be committed. I'm faaairly certain that's to be taken as a group restriction: one per test, regardless of source (so an aiding investigator couldn't play a second). Can some one explaine the "max 1 commit skill test" cards to me? I'm not understanding the rule.

No. The only time damage/horror persists is if you take trauma. If you take physical trauma (through a card, resolution, or by losing all your health during a scenario), then you start the rest of the scenarios in the campaign with one damage. The same things happen with mental trauma, except you start with one horror.Am I(and my team of investigators) supposed to keep our wounds from each part of the campaign? cus that seems super rough if that's the case...
Me and the gf completed the core set campaign tonight! Had a great time doing so. We made it through part 3 by the skin of our teeth. We were able to stop the summoning of some old god and only had to deal with 3 cultist. Part 2 was defenitlty the most challenging, we got overwhelmed really quickly and only took out 3 cultist. We are gonna replay the campaign with different characters next time before we pick up the expansion.
I doubt it'll be a month before a restock (at least in the US). I'll speculate that there will probably be more in store with Carcosa, which should be beginning of September (hopefully earlier). It looks like reprints are a month out too. I think I'll have to ebay it or wait patiently. Not a skill of mine to be honest.
afaik, arkham lcg reprint are slated to hit the stores in septemberWhew, this is really sold out everywhere. I've called all over New York City and Long Island and I've had no luck (about 6 stores in reasonable driving distance).

Nice, well done. I've finished that campaign about 4 times now and still only gotten the kinda neutral ending as my best result so far. Which two investigators were you if you don't mind me asking?

if i were you, i would rather wait
also, i'd advice buying either carocsa deluxe or dunwhich deluxe along with the core..
while not strictly necessary, the deluxe xpac give quite a lot of content (scenario and cards), and while the scenarios are "optional" you can use carcosa player card for core scenario deck as well
or a carcosa hero in core xpac..
this way you get 5 more investigator per deluxe box
Not trying to push you at all, but this game is very solo-friendly. I've run through the core several times as true solo and two-handed (playing two investigators myself). Running Dunwich would be just as easy, just more of a time commitment, so I haven't done that yet.My biggest concern with buying more than just the core is that the only person willing to play is my wife, who is, lets just say, not guaranteed to commit to this regularly. With kids its impossible to get out of the house too. I think I'll give the core a shot, and then pick up Dunwich at a later date. Though I do really want to try out ol' Ashcan...
yep, but as stated, the ghouls can make you waste turns to kill them, when they pop..Final Carcosa character reveal, the survivor: Bury them Deep
This is the dude I'll be playing as during my Carcosa trip. The ability to rip any asset out of the discard opens up a lot of promising combos.

we'll see... all in all an interesting character
ehh the thing is that, basically you add random on random..I'm not that worried about the Ghouls. Anyone with a native combat of 4 with access to the starter guardian cards doesn't have much to fear from a 3 combat 3 health monster. It is very unlikely you will waste multiple turns to kill them, 2-3 actions on average. Compared to the host of other fearsome personal weaknesses in the game I feel Ghouls are perhaps the easiest to deal with.
I've been using toothpicks since the beginning. However, one of the guys on the Discord channel is making these little 3D printed connectors that are two pieces and can be swiveled around to various angles. I'll probably grab a set of those when he gets to the production phase, as long as the price is affordable. Otherwise, I might see if he'll just let me buy the model files so I can print them out at work.Another thing he taught us was to use little connectors to show how everything links up, and I've found that a really nice touch too.

Yeah. I guess he did post them up on BGG a while back to get some wider feedback here. They look a lot more practical (and will probably cost less) than the other really ornate ones I was interested in that are also on BGG.Yeah I think I saw a thread about that on BGG though it seemed so far off I didn't pay it too much mind. Ordered some kinda cute ones with footprints on Etsy for now.
One of my co-workers made this chaos-bag app for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.desertphoenix.chaosbag
I was super skeptical because I love cardboard and the tactile nature of the chaos bag, but man he did a great job with this thing and really won me over. Has the full legend for every scenario and can just gin up the right bag immediately. Also has nice little animations and thematic touches. He said he made it b/c the bag really added a lot to his 4p playtime and man he was right. Couldn't play without this now.
Another thing he taught us was to use little connectors to show how everything links up, and I've found that a really nice touch too.
Rule question:
Can Duke's Fight action be used in conjunction with a weapon?
No. Any time you see the action arrow, that's the card/effect being used, and they can't be combined. You can still contribute cards for icons, or skills such as Vicious Blow though.
peeps, anyone going at gencon can grab me one of these?
Labyrinths of Lunacy :X
Thought you could buy any amount so far you were registered...These are only available to people that signed up for the event, so I doubt anyone's going to want to get rid of their copy at a reasonable price. It will hit POD (like Rougarou and Carnevale) before the end of the year. So, if you have any patience, you can get it for $15, or you can look on eBay within the coming weeks and find people trying to get probably $50+ for it.
