Automatons bots? That's the third time today I've seen that exact list posted.
Ah yes, whataboutism. Way to deflect away from Sony's history.
It could make sense to post it again, now that we are on a new page.April 2011: Hackers Access Personal Data of 77 Million Sony PlayStation Network Users
May 2011: Personal Details on 25 Million Sony Online Entertainment Customers Stolen
June 2011: Sony Pictures Website Hacked, Exposing One Million Accounts
November 2014: Hackers Steal 100 Terabytes of Data from Sony Pictures
August 2017: Hacker Group Accesses Sony Social Media Accounts
September 2023: Sony Investigates Alleged Hack
October 2023: Sony Notifies Employees of Data Breach
Here it is again. Thanks.

Not whataboutism when you say "they largely have a poor history at protecting it" and I say "no worse than anybody elses". That's just a relative statement.Ah yes, whataboutism. Way to deflect away from Sony's history.
Mortisfacio you're busted bro
Here you go

This is unlikely to cause large long term impact, but folks are expressing their annoyance. You'd think we would see a big drop in people playing but....
Some mad lad also went through the Helldivers 2 EULA to see if it mentioned needing a PSN account there lol
Wow this is my first time seeing this. Is this true? Scandalous.
It was required day one, it was disabled shortly after. Now you know why Sony delayed the PSN account required for PC gamers.
Hook in PC gamers for 3 months, then unleash the requirement after. If Sony required the account on day one, their PC community and sales would be a fraction of what it is now.
It doesn't require a third party EULA. it's part of steams EULA so when it has it there you've agreed to steam having that stated. Some games don't even have a separate third party EULA on top of steams.
Are you an idiot? They already bought it and can't refund it! That's the problem!Boo hoo. Don't like it, don't buy it and shut the fuck up.
You are on a platform that has like 1,000 launchers, how does this surprise you? I guess I shouldn't be surprised as PCMR is always compelling about something and before somebody says something I play 50/50 on PC/PS and I've been playing on PC almost non-stop since I was a little kid in the late 90s.
It's bullshit. I made up.
As long you dont put credit or debit card. Same on my Steam account (I dont save my card,Everytime i buy).I don’t wanna link my account to PSN considering it was last breached in 2011. Guys I’m scared.
Are you a fucking idiot? You think that everybody single person fucking complaining about this even bought the goddamn game? But guess what? I bet the vast majority of the dumb fucks making a big deal about this are still playing the goddamn game just like the MW2 "boycott" and the fucking Resetera people who complain about a game but secretly play it on Steam. Are you an idiot? They already bought it and can't refund it! That's the problem!
Yeah that's my point. The Third party EULA are additional agreements on top of Steams one. Steam has an obligation to state on its store when a third party account is required and it's steams EULA they're already agreeing to regarding that. A separate third party EULA isn't required to state that. Look at Minecraft legends for example. It has a third party account requirement but no other third party EULA at all.It was required day one, it was disabled shortly after.
Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA

Guys I found this online, kinda eye opening:
April 2011: Hackers Access Personal Data of 77 Million Sony PlayStation Network Users
May 2011: Personal Details on 25 Million Sony Online Entertainment Customers Stolen
June 2011: Sony Pictures Website Hacked, Exposing One Million Accounts

August 2017: Hacker Group Accesses Sony Social Media Accounts
September 2023: Sony Investigates Alleged Hack
October 2023: Sony Notifies Employees of Data Breach
they aren’t even requiring a separate launcher which is what usually gets on PC gamers nerves (rightfully so I think, those things cause all sorts of mess with playing on the Steam Deck)
this is just a mountain out of a molehill and it’s no coincidence a lot of the people pushing it are known Xbox fanboys (Colt Eastwood is raising a stink on Twitter)

Looks like my exclusive post went viral. This list is popping up everywhere.
People who bought the game in any of the countries where PSN doesn't work are kinda screwed. Using VPN can potentially get your account banned.
That’s putting everyone in one bag and I hate that. This is like an unholy crossover between the two most unhinged fanbases in the industry, Snoy Evangelists and PC Masterbaters. We only needed to get the furries involved to create the perfect cesspool to spawn baby Gilgamesh.
You can't play your $70 COD game on console without an Activision account
I'm seeing what's going on for Helldivers on PC Why is no one upset about this on console? Imagine you create a playstation/xbox account then pay for online then buy the game but still can't play without the Activision account can we get this removed too please And it's not the only game...www.neogaf.com
Hmm?
Not just customers. Insomniac got nailed, company and game files leaked and right now PC modders are playing Spiderman 2 for months.Looks like my exclusive post went viral. This list is popping up everywhere.
Yes.Is that normal for China? I legitimately do not know lol
No one will be talking about this in 2 months lmao. This backlash is the dumbest shit ever, considering these same people link their Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, etc accounts.

dafuq is this letter.....
How would any gamer in China even know trying to link accounts will result in a ban? Is there a warning pop up?Whelp, sucks for all those people who bought this on Steam in China, I guess.
This is unfair. Pc players should pay out console players should have free online."Ha! PC gamers are such babies, why do they keep crying about everything? Such whiners!"
A few years later.
"Why do i have to pay to play playstation games online and PC gamers don't!? This is so unfair mama Sony!!!"
