Guys, the idiots who booed aren't the ones who made Ashlee Simpson one of the highest selling artists of 2004. Who cares? Does she? No. Want to bet her next album does as well as her last? I know it will. Simpson is marketed to a crowd with ephemeral pop cravings, kids who digest her MTV packaged music. Who cares that she was booed by a bunch of buffoonish louts?

Same thing happened to Destiny's Child when they performed at the NBA All-Star game halftime show. They were doing 'survivor' and the crowd was letting them have it badly.
I heard the audio from the performance and Ashlee sounded like shit. Maybe she should have used some 'backing tracks' or something. I don't blame peolpe for booing. I mean, why have some pop chick performing? Why not just let that marching bands perform? Either way, Ashlee should not have been performing in that situation.

DC got ripped because one of 'em (think it was Beyonce) had the utter gall to wear a Lakers jersey....in Philadelphia. Those motherfuckers booed Santa Claus and cheered Michael Irvin's neck injury, so you make your lead singer wear the jersey of a hated rival? That was one of the worst halftime performances of all time. Bear in mind the fans in the stands and at home had been warmed up by a bevy of crap prior to Simpson's performance. She was the finale to what will go down as one of the worst moments in television. I can't even describe how bad it was. The fans booed during the earlier performances too, but for Ashlee, they booed from start to finish. They turned down the mics, but you could still hear it over her mic. :lol It had to be pretty embarassing being up there, b/c not only were they booing nonstop, but it had to be clear to everyone on stage that the performance sucked. Her voice is horrible, and since she embarassed herself on SNL, she can't use a backing track without looking like a total fraud. Well, sucking on national television will do the job just as nicely. Her career fall down, go boom. PEACE.

Dear God, she sang that horrible "La La" song. I heard that on a commercial for her album the other day and almost gouged my eyes out. What kind of lyrics are, "You make me wanna LA LA"? What the fuck does that mean anyway? And then in this performance she starts thrusting and going "You make me wanna (thrust) UH (thrust) UH (thrust) UH" .... WTF .... Not to mention how horrible her voice gets as the song goes on. She basically sounds like a chain smoker by the end. What a horrible, untalented hack. I hope things like this continue to happen to her.
