thanks guys, i'll look into the GIMP. I have many years photoshop experience through tafe and now work, but i'm too cheap to buy a copy at the moment - and the 30 day trial I downloaded when I got the PC only has about 16 days left :(

edit: woo! now i at least know I can make an avatar work I can find something good haha
 
I actually have a Photoshop CS3 license :lol So many people pirate Photoshop.

I considered ordering that crazy edition. That producer's disc has me very intrigued, but I think I'll settle for the regular special edition.

After looking at Prototype it looks awesome. Now I'm really pissed off we're getting a butchered version. :(
Anyone know if it'll be region free?
 
If its around $79, locally. PS3 1st party games tend to be more exy on release for some reason. I probably should wait three or weeks weeks after release and then order it for $50 from CD Wow but I'm busting for a new game.

InFamous V Prototype. Are they different enough to enjoy one after the other?

One is on PC and one isn't :lol .

I will actually probably pickup both. My PS3 needs some loving so i will pickup infamous for it. I will then grab Prototype for cheap from cdwow or somewhere else for the PC

I'm getting Prototype for 360 too, but I am still not sure where to get it from. You get a free figurine of the main character for pre-ordering with EB, but if there's a better deal somewhere I might just go with that one.
 
I think i'll get Prototype, inFamous just looks like Force Unleashed with no lightsaber. Don't let the guys in the other thread know though.

I actually thought it was Crackdown with Lightning.

But then Altogether Andrews gave me access to it, and I can honestly say it's neither.

It actually is it's own game. A really good one too. Nothing groundbreaking or 'best evar' type stuff.

But good fun. With looks to match.

The demo was wicked fun, and is eventually what made me buy =D
 
Also Darklord mentioned above that the Aussie version of Prototype was/is butchered. Apparently it's not.

I really need to get my shit into gear with Prototype, not even sure if it's uncut or not, but if it's uncut locally, then I'll just pre-order it here. But I certainly don't wanna end up with a gimped game. >_> The only gimped game I own is Fallout 3 and that was unavoidable. =P

Prototype is just Hulk Ultimate Destruction.

So just choose based on which game you liked, Crackdown or Hulk UD

Hmm Crackdown was good, but I never finished it - never played Hulk. Hate the Hulk, think I'll just keep playing all the 5 Xbox 360 games I bought last week (I've already thrown Oneechanbara Wii in the bin).

Someone who hasn't played it obviously. Try the demo, I've played it about 10 times now. Amazing game can't wait till I get full one.

Lucky I only paid $23 for it. God damn is it one broken ass game. How IGN gave it a 6.9 I don't know - the controls are broken.

Everyone gave MGS3 great scores and that game was broken >.<! Lousy camera....

I hated it when people said 'just get subsistence'... Yeah, just give Konami more money so I can finally play a game that I paid for already!

Hmph. To me the game was unplayable with that camera, it was just not fun at all... turned me off the whole series. But none of the reviews I read said much about it at all... Everyone raved about it, how much better then mgs2 it was and crap...
 
They work with GHWT, WT even drops a lane for you and goes down to 4 (with the drums).
 
Anyone here know what the trade-in value (EB/Game... whatever) is for the RB1 guitar and game? Want the RB1 drums for RB2, but not the guitar. For 360.

Otherwise I'll see what I can get at Cashies.

And anyone who can tell me if the RB1 drums are half-decent? Otherwise I'll just wait for RB2/Beatles.

If you're going to import I'd suggest PlayAsia. They seem to be the cheapest of the ones that can get the US version (released a couple of weeks before ours) that comes with guaranteed entry to the Uncharted MP beta. 365games won't be able to ship until it releases in Oz, plus their prices are never that good for brand new games.

U forgot to mention there biggest exculsive ( japanese market) Final fantasy ............... o thats right Sqaure Enix sold that out to all consoles ( btw Enix is just an awesome gamer developer that also develop there on software for games and movies and own over 50% of alot of stocks inc Unreal engine) lol Sony fails now
 
got my copy of Fallout 3 from 365games, arrived about 6 days after postage. awesome. i suck at this game, but enjoying it so far :D patiently levelling up...
