This story and the comments is the funniest shit I've read all day.

sony just don't get it and nor does your average consumer. most people don't know about the ps3 failure rate because sony don't want to talk about it (how's that for warranty and after sales support!!) buying a PS3 is like buying an overpriced kettle and being told it's worth the money because you get a toaster and a clock with it. It's my experience that the only reason people buy a PS3 is because they previously owned a PS2 and they don't want to pay for online games (xbox live gold works out fo 20c per day if you do the maths!!) What does that say about your average sony customer?
Bernbaum said:Ah shit, I haven't played MGS3 yet, ever, and it's next on my 'to-play' list. I got the vanilla, non-Subsistence version- am I gonna have that hard a time playing with the borked camera? Is the right-stick controlled camera in Subsistence worth it for me to try track down a copy?
Also keen on AusGAF impressions of inFamous. It really does look a bit plain.
The demo is an absolute blast. I've been trying to finish Siren: Blood Curse but I just end up quitting and playing the inFamous demo for the umpteenth time, it's addictiveBernbaum said:Also keen on AusGAF impressions of inFamous. It really does look a bit plain.

Just saying IMO that MGS3 deserved all the scores it got. I am a bit biased for sure, but it is still one of the best games i've ever played.VOOK said:Serious about what exactly? I don't get what you mean.
Subsistence versions is the one you want to play for sure.
This. I think i've played the demo about 14 times now :lolendlessflood said:The demo is an absolute blast. I've been trying to finish Siren: Blood Curse but I just end up quitting and playing the inFamous demo for the umpteenth time, it's addictive![]()

What's in the SE?Puck said:Pre ordered InFamous from EB too, the SE.
Sersiously amazing game, played the demo and I loved it.

VOOK said:Also Darklord mentioned above that the Aussie version of Prototype was/is butchered. Apparently it's not.
It's worth playing either version, either way it is an absolutely brilliant game. While it isn't my favourite MGS, it definitely has my favourite MGS ending.Bernbaum said:Ah shit, I haven't played MGS3 yet, ever, and it's next on my 'to-play' list. The latest issue of JB's Stack magazine has an ad that says a demo will be released on the 22nd.-Winnie- said:Chances are there'll be an open demo for PAL PSN closer to release.
I'll totally take that off your hands if you've still got it.Dizzan said:I received an infamous demo code if anyone wants it. I already have it

alistairw said:I hate myself for feeling this way, but that Gilmore Girls thing is pretty fucking tempting. 42 discs! That'd keep me going for ages.
But that'd mean they'd want to watch them. That's a lose situation to me, though not nearly as bad Sex and the City.evlcookie said:Damn straight. Im more interested in what sort of box it comes in, how big that bastard is :lol
Just image the ladies going through your dvd collection and BAM there's a 42 disc, 7 seasons box set of the gilmore girls. Talk about win win situation.

alistairw said:It's got the Jeff Green seal of approval, remember.
I just informed my ex about it, because she hates the show with a passion. She's now insinuating that the only reason I want to buy that box set is because of the underage daughter, which really isn't true. I want to own it because it's 42 discs. I'd probably buy any reasonably priced 42 disc box set.
alistairw said:Man, I've just never been able to get into that series. I guess, actually, I've never really got into many sci-fi shows at all. I'd be far, far more likely to buy Gilmore Girls than that. Which is kind of odd, really.
It just occurred to me that I'd be much better off buying the new hard drive I need with $150, though.
endlessflood said:it would appear that last night, a random bunch of Aussie PS3 owners were emailed codes to download the inFamous demo off the Aussie PSN. Anybody have any more info, particularly with respect to how they were picked?
365games.co.uk is my first choice. They have great deals on slightly older games plus free shipping to Australia and prompt delivery. CDWow have some good deals from time to time but you can be waiting months and months for your game even when you pre-order. PlayAsia are rarely the cheapest but are another option. But I'd start with 365games and go from there.Gassey said:Can I have some advice? What websites do you all visit now to buy your games?
What is this newsletter of which you speak, and how would one go about signing up for it?Trevelyon said:Uh, was it really random? I would've thought any Aussie PSN account that subscribes to the Sony newsletters/3rd party info would have received it.
